I use gloves because my hands were getting too rough for my wife. I found a good pair of thin leather gloves that don't have fingertips which work really well for me except when I need to go really heavy--in which case I take them off. Normally, that's for squats, deads, and sometimes curls when I want to make sure I can "feel" the movement.

I prefer too use gloves,I have trained without them. but for me personally , I seem to get a better feel for the bar with gloves. I dont know if its because the glove acts as a barrier, between skin and bar,but I seem to get a tighter grip with them on.

Not a glove guy myself. I having callused hands doesn't bother me any. I get a way better feel and grip on the bar without em.

Definitely no gloves. I personally hate gloves of any type. They irritate my hands. I do however wear straps. They allow you lift more than your grip strength which is good and bad but you'll eventually catch up. I remember I once was doing a lift with an extra heavy amount so I made the straps extra tight around the bar. After I finished my sets I found that the straps had ripped the skin off my wrist and was bleeding pretty bad. lol. Had to put tape on that spot so I could keep using them. lol.

Must have been some pretty rough straps. I find it is hard to get really good straps. I had some good ones a few years back. After they wore out, I haven't been able to find any like them. My current straps are very stiff so they dig into my wrists.
