great went to the gym to do a bit of cardio and light legs as leg day is friday...did 30mins bike and some squats started the hamstring movement sets of 10-15.last set POP..
bloody great cant even walk..ice packed it right away then went to the sauna and pool for 20mins..bloody gutted..got it elevated and hot cold packs got my fingers crossed for tomorrow or no work for me guess thats no gym for a week well legs any way..still gona go 2morrow if its not to bad for back-bi..just gona have to suck it and see..

Holy crap. I cringed when I read the title of the post. Keep us posted, I am always interested in remedies and healing.
Hope its not as bad as you think.
 
yeah holy crap...i yelped out loud..i realy did..i was like that aint good..cant walk at all now ...no work tomorrow i think..that gona piss a few people of there is some 1 sick all ready..
 
Did it tear?? I had mine pop years ago when I tried to sprint for the first time in years. It popped and I fell and skid along the ground. Couldn't walk or drive since it was my right leg. It took a long time to heal, but it wasn't a full tear
 
Sucks being hurt,

I played golf last summer with a guy who just swung his club on hole #3 and riped his achilles tendon. Fucker droped out in pain. Weird shit just happens.

As long as there's no tear you should be good in a month or so. Hopefully it is nothing major and you're back at it soon
 
i cant feel a lump or knot and and it feels a little better today..dont know wat to think at the moment im just gona sit in today and heat/ice all day with some anti inflamatories..ive not been to the doctors as there is no bruising as of yet so no point as they would just tell me to rest..im just about to strap it up now as well i had it straped up with an ice pack untill i went to bed last night..finger crossed..

i think it did yes ive pulled muscle many times and just stopped working out ice ect ec and its just been sore..week later good to go..
but ive never torn a hamstring so im not to sure what to look for..there is no bruising or knot but cant walk or put much weight defo cant bend/stretch..
and like i said when it happened it went pop lets just hope its a slight tear as there is no bruising..ive seen some tears with horrendous bruising..
 
The rash of injuries continues....damn bro that sucks. We're turning into a MASH unit around here. Hope like hell it's not a tear. I think you're doing all you can for right now.
 
third day in...there is no bruising around the knee some swelling around the area and a little discoloration at the back of leg still hot cold packs going on plus it heavy straping is working wonders..im not a doctor but i would say its a type 2 tear..not a type 3 which is great i think..still sucks ass mind u..got my ECA sitting here burning a whole in my gym bag..dont want to take it siting at home i will be buzzing my tits off..lol..well at least im smilling now..
 
Mine bruised halfway down my lower leg about 10 days later. The best way to spot a tear is to look at the muscle. If it looks OK and will contract you're good. If not, it probably isnt good. I hate to give the definitive, but I've torn alot of shit and I know what it looks like

Like the Dude said about sprints, this happened to me in HS and College running track (100m,200m) quite a few times...and I remember sometimes literally months later still limping around...

UPDATE.

so its still tight but NO pain....did 40 mins light cardio today..feels ok no pain...think im going to start with some stretches later this week..SEE HOW THAT GO'S..
