Heart Burn

What do you guys use for heart burn? I've been gulping down tums like crazy today and just can't get rid of it.:angry:

Do you have the heartburn just today or do you get it all of the time? If it's just today then it might be something you ate causing it. You might want to try taking some pepto bismol.

I get it every once and a while. It isn't persistant but I usually get it a couple times a week. It may be the chicken tocos I ate.

I get it once and a while too. I like rolaids better than tums....the berry flavored ones.

i get it all the time well maybe once a week but to me thats alot considering i use to get heartburn once or twice a year if that, i think im just getting older

I get it real bad when I'm on a cycle. It's unusual for it to be bothering me the way it is now. I'm not on a cycle right now.

Be careful on consuming alot of pepto B. If memory serves me correctly it has alot of aluminum in it, and aluminum is a major underlying factor in Alzheimers. I don't have any pep-B around the house, so I can't check the label. If it does have aluminum in it it might be okay to take every once in a while but several times a week might cause some problems down the road. Might want to look into supplementing with hydrochloric acid-sounds strange to supplement what appears to be too much acid with more acid but i am sure i read in one of my med books that is what is needed. if it continues to be a problem just check with a nathuropathic or holistic practitioner/MD....

Pepto had aluminum in it? So if I eat a bunch of pop cans it will be the same?

I can't stand pepto bismol any way. It makes me feel quiezy when I take it.

supersport your right there is aluminum in pepto (magnesium aluminum silicate). I didn't intend to make it sound like saturn should take it all of the time (even though I didn't know about the alum.)

Gulping down what? You may have an ulcer or ARD...Are you drinking alcohol..that will make it worse..ofcourse right?

I rairly drink. I don't think I have a ulcer because it's not consistant. I usually get heart burn when I'm on a cycle but I haven't started yet. Been getting it for the past couple weeks.

Yeah, I too am getting up there in age. I think I'm turning lactose intollerant and I have been getting heartburn every now and again. I used to NEVER get it. I never even knew how it felt.

I get it very bad tubs suck still get it try Prilosac OTC 1 pill a day works wonders!
no acid reflux or heart burn all day!!
