I've been tossing and turning for hours. My stomach was keeping me up. I avoid late night eating but I have to be up at 5:30 or so to hit the gym before work. I ended up making a tuna fish salad:

5 oz can tuna
omega 3 mayo (no bad fats)
no sugar added sweet relish (no sugar just 90mg sodium)

Was that an ok choice?

i thought I age enough during the day:

2 veggie patties and wheat toast, protein shake, protein bar, 2 natural peanut butter sandwiches, protein bar, protein shake, 2 tuna fish sandwiches on wheat bread with some soy chips on the side.

Did I not eat enough through the day?

you need could use some more whole meals in your diet...

can you post up your breakdown on Protein/Carbs/Fats?

When you eat just veggies for a meal, you need to get protein for that meal from somewhere. Your protein shake is an extra item and shouldn't be replacing the protein from that meal. The shakes should be in supplement to your diet, that is, in addition. If you aren't getting enough calories/protein from your normal meals, which it certainly look like, that is why you are hungry at 12:00 am. What are your goals in regards to weight loss/muscle gain?

i recommend eating late for growth
absolutely no carbs and very low fats late at night

When im trying to gain or cut i eat egg whites or chicken

the veggie patties are 10g protein each with good fats so I get 20g from those each morning.

I though I included the sakes as "meals" too. I'll stop doing that. What about the protein bars? I have two a day one between breakfast and lunch and one between lunch and dinner. Should I nix those and move to a meal?

I started my "path" in November of last year so I'm still learning and researching. I'm not looking to compete I just want the body I've wanted since I was younger.

My BMI is about 25% and I want to get down to 13-10%. I know it's hard to lose fat and gain muscle at the same time. However, by gaining I increase lean mass which in turn will raise my MBR aiding in my weightloss too. I've talked with a trainer about my goals and what I'm doing and he is sure if i stick with my plan I'll make it.

Also, I just at about 5 egg whites with natural peanut butter on whole wheat bread before bed. I had whey but no milk (my girlfriend was out), no slow carb powder, and my cottage cheese i'm going to attempt to eat is at my place. Was that an ok before bed meal? It was good either way though!

Got a tub of cottage cheese and some pineapple . . . and about gagged. I choked it down but discovered I still HATE cottage cheese.
