Here's the story. I have some long igf1 from Australia. I dissolved it in what I believe to be 10mM acetic acid just as the directions say to do. I went to inject 20ug of the long igf1 with 1ml of distilled water and as I started to push down on the plunger I got this insane burning feeling at my injection site. It seriously felt like I was injecting acid into my body. Each time I went to push more of the stuff into my body the sharp pain began. So I took out the needle, no blood was present so I knew I did not hit a vein, and injected into another spot on my body (quad) and the same pain began again. This was an insane burning feeling.

I have never injected water based steroids into my body so I dont know if it is the water that burns or is my long igf1 solution too acidic. I first put 1ml of distilled water into my syringe and then sucked up the long igf1 into the syringe, so this stuff is getting diluted. There is no pain or redness around the sites as of now (20 minutes after injection), so maybe I am just a wimp. Please advise me about this situation before I do another injection after my workout tomorrow. Thanks.

Oh yeah, the igf1 has been in the refrigerator so it is cold, but the water has been at room temperature. Also, the water may be deionized water, not distilled water. My friend gave me the water from his lab and it could be deionized so I dont know if that would make a difference.

Looks like i'll have to be the first to tell you that probably was not a good idea for many reasons:

1. You assumed that directions involving acetic acid are for you to put in your body, as opposed to lab use.

2. You dont even know what the hell the water is...how do even know it is water, lots of things look and smell like water.
example: acid

however you are probably not gonna drop dead because acetic acid is.....do u even know or u just like taking chances with ur health....vinegar

Also, trying to be nice while protecting you from yourself isnt easy so just understand this is meant in the nicest, trying to keep you alive and out da hospital kinda way:

You are a newb who has no business injecting anything like igf-1.
why dont you learn how to grow before deciding you need help because there is no such thing as a wonder drug like you have been led to beleive with igf1.

Your low post count (1) and the comment "water based steroids" lets everyone know you dont know jack. igf-1 is not a steroid.

Heres my call on what u did. Your friend with the lab hooked up the igf(the australia comment hints at gropep) you followed the package directions which you probably dont know the difference between in vivo and in vitro. And as far as the water you make it clear you have not even the slightest clue where to obtain pharmaceutical products. you should be looking for either sterile water or bacteriostatic water NOT distilled which u can buy at 7-11.

you can risk your life if u want but you have an opportunity to learn a valuable lesson here, dont blow it. do your research first so u dont get unexpected results like painfull burning. you are supposed to know what is going to happen before you try it.

I am a newbie to these boards, not to test and orals. As far as the long IGF1 is concerned, using acetic acid or HCl will not harm the product or our bodies, so dont flame me on using that acidic solution...........flame the people that use BA or refreeze their vials daily.

As for the water, I have heard from many people that sometimes bacteriostatic water does not have the correct pH and can destroy GH. So many people will use sterile distilled water for their GH and inject with no problems, so I figured the distilled water is safe to use. Of course the water I have is sterile, but I am not sure if it is distilled or deionized because the bottle he took it from said dH20.

So what is this burning feeling, is it the acid or the water? If need be I will get bacteriostatic water tomorrow and sterilize it and use it in the syringe.

Any GH pharm kits that have vials intended for more than one use include bacteriostatic water, so it probably wouldnt hurt. The PH should be identical, the only diff between bact and sterile is the addition of BA less than 1% as a preservative to prevent bacterial growth.

The stinging is from the acid, GH in water, sterile or bact does not hurt.

but what do you mean by "If need be I will get bacteriostatic water tomorrow and sterilize it and use it in the syringe."

If you buy pharm products it should be sterile already, thats why you need to be careful with things from a lab, when you say "because the bottle he took it from said dH20." do you mean large vial where it was removed with a syringe or a bottle that can be opened to the surrounding area like for pouring into solution at a lab. Things that open like that are not safe to use.
