home gyms?

I'm curious as to how many people here workout at home.

I'm in an apartment. No room for equipment in there. If I had a house and the money for whatever I needed, I'd make a gym for myself at home.

I do both. There is obviously a lot more motivation @ a gym. You cant gain as much by yourself at home(no spotter).

Workout at my school gym, which completely blows. My high school gym was better than my college one. Over summer its at a gym also. I wish i could have a gym at my house i can't stand some of the people at gyms, actually all of the people.

i dont have a membership buy my GF has the VIP and 24f so its no big deal.

I got a nice home gym, but no machines/pulley's whatsoever so it very basic but mostly new. Its in my apt. spare bedroom so I dont like using it with such little room

when I get a house, I will make the master bedroom the gym.

I have the key to my gym and it's like a perfect home gym. I don't know what I am going to do when I move since I'm so spoiled.

Probably look for a town with one of those old time powerlifter swaet box type gyms and move there. I worked out at the Metro Flex where Barnch & Ronnie train and loved that but Dallas is a huge city and I don't really want to fight traffic.

If I work out at home I get side tracked to easily

that's pretty sweet Amazon, luckily the gym is in the basement so there's not a lot to sidetrack me down in the dungeon!!! lol

i have a different attitude at the gym, it's not pleasant b/c i'm focusing on hurting my muscles so they break down, i relieve stress, and hopefully build muscle.... at home, i can't get that aggressive... it's just a way for me to break from the normal chaos and focus on me, w/o interuption... that is .. as long as i make it to the gym.

i could never train in one of the sweatboxes, especially with the TX heat.

and Dallas traffic does suck. our rush "hour" is from 3-7pm

i have alot of stuff at my house, and not a real prob. staying focused, but sense i went back the the gym i cant imagine working out at my house again........i just like the (atmisphire)? better....

I have access to a sweet ass gym on base, but that shit aint open 24 hours. I live in town and there's a 24 hour gym there so I have a membership there too. While DC training I need access to the exact same equipment all the time. Thankfully I could workout at my gym everyday including holidays. It'd be nice to have a home gym for convenience, but I feed off other people in the gym for motivation.

since i started this thread my home gym has been expanded, I put in a flat screen TV on the wall, new flooring put down (rubber mats) and then it flooded extensively a few months back. I've been cleaning it out and rebuilding and I just hung a heavy bag last night as well. It's starting to really come along now and i'm enjoying it.

i would honestly rather have a hardcore gym in a like 3 car garage chalk everywhere a squat a powerrack bench flat and incline, would only need one bar a shit tone of plates and few misc. ones. cambered bar and some other custom items ive worked out with before. Oh yeah and the biggest god damn speakers i could get in there. I couldnt get more pumped up leaving my room to go pass out after a workout on the garage floor lol. man that would be insane mike im moving in brother move over were gonna get it done.

I use the powerblocks and an adjustable bench to work out at home but basically I try to hit the gym most of the time.

Serously though, Hopefully I will have a home gym sometime in the future, but Im stickin with my gym now because its so much motivation because everyone in there is huge!
