How important is strength to you...

When it comes to strength vs size, I think whichever one I'm not getting at the time is the one I want. On deca, I have gotten a lot bigger but have been disappointed not to be moving up in weight very fast. On tren, I set new all-time highs every workout - sometimes by pretty big leaps - but other than becoming more vascular, I barely see any change. For me, the grass is always greener on the other side, I suppose.

If I looked like Dorian Yates I would not give a rats ass how much weight i could lift, only benching 135 and still geting the desired results (being huge) would be awsome.

I put quality into every rep for muscle sculpting and growth. Strength eventually comes.

Powerlifting is where strength is of main interest. I have joint issues which is why I wouldnt do well striving for strength only.

high numbers in the gym are nice, and impressive, but a big, solid proportioned, hard body in the mirror would beat it any day im sure.

Personally I would love to be strong but the bad side of that is wear on the joints. I personally would rather have a better looking body using less weight. I guess this is a guy with blown shoulders and destroyed knees opinion, but I just think about the long term. I also hate people who say I can bench 315 and you watch them and they crash the weight off their chest and cheat like crazy. I agree with comment about form. I would rather do strict reps with 250 than 300 and cheat. That my 2 cents.

I want to be huge, but I also want to be really strong, not just look strong. I've always wanted to be able to bench 315 smoothly.

strength is mainly important to me as a reference for progress. I've never been uniquely strong. I just dont have the genetic make up for it, alot more red fibers than white. Thats why I never got into powerlifting. If you aint made for it, dont eat yourself up trying to be what you're not.

even bodybuilding has been difficult for me, Im not made to be big and muscular, I made to be lean and thin. 160lbs at 6'1" is what god wanted me to be. Im slowly rewriting the blueprints though.

Strength used to be much more important to me in the past. Nowadays, it doesn't matter to me much.

I was always pitiful when it came to chest strength. The most I ever worked out with was 235. when I graduated I couldnt bench 90 pounds. I was 130 pounds and a distance runner. I thought I was an ecto morph until I quit running. LOL. It is weird though. I have always had decent leg strength and back strength. I was squating nearly 500 for reps in the past. I was throwing 315 around for 3 sets of 15 on dead a few years ago pretty easily. I think I did close to 500 on deads.

Im not worried about strength cause it comes with the size. But im benching in the 400s squating in the 500s, everything else is relative. - i sound like an asshole right there, im not bragging, what im trying to say is if i was weaker and was huge.... maybe id be worried about strength.

I like keeping my numbers up, size up... cause i like to bounce, and i always want to be stronger than the next guy.
