How long is a 10ml vial of Novolin R good for?

There is a lot of mixed info on this. The label says 30 days after opening.
Ive kept mine refrigerated since opened and ive had it for at least 3 months. It still works but im thinking it's lost a bunch of potency.
It seems point less to purchase these vials as I could not possibly use it all within a reasonable amount of time.
Im sure some guys have a ton of experience with this and can give me your personal thoughts on the subject.

My personal experience, take this with a gain of salt. I feel that it looses up to 30-50% potency after a couple of months in the fridge. I find that the spikes are less predictable after a couple of months, for example I normally feel Novolin R about 1 hour after sub q injection when fresh. After it has been in the fridge for a couple of months I feel it anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours later. Total bro science, but that is my take.

The other thing that is weird is sometime old product ( year or more) feels exactly the same as new 10 iu hits at the same time and feels the same. Couple of days later I can't feel my blood sugar drop at all from the same 10ius: I think this is how some people get into trouble because they think it has lost potency so they double their dose of fresh product and their old product hits them like new unexpectidly and bam, big problems.

I've commonly used Humalog without storing it in the fridge, and it has still been quite potent for me even after 3 months (a 10ml vial lasts a very long time). I don't think I've ever felt it hit me at a different time, it has always been consistent.

It lasts ALOT longer than you guys think. Especially if you store it in the fridge. I had an opened novolog in my fridge for 18 months and it was still good But sure lets use some common sense and not leave it for 18 months like me

Point is always respect Slin because its possible each administration could have different effects! We all know being caught off guard with slin can be dangerous.

Expiration date, guessing the potency, how long its been cold or room temp, is it long or slow acting. The 100% number one thing to remember in my book is assume any form of Slin is quality, strong and treat it with respect. Plan in advance understand how many grams of cards you need per IU if taking post workout. I have been stuck in traffic after taking Humalog post workout and thank god I had some OJ with me.
