How much do you pay for the gym ?

I belong to two gyms. One I pay 39 bucks a month to one. It's a huge club with everything and everything, plus I have an add-on where I can bring a guest whenever I want.

I pay 30 bucks for another one that is much smaller but it's more of a "real lifter's" gym. Most of my friends go there and I like it better.

I think I have the big, expensive one pretty much because it's closer to my work and it's open 24/7. Plus it has a pool and a half-court that my smaller one doesn't. Plus there are many hot chicks at this one, lol.

i'm not exactly sure how much i pay because gym fees are included in tuition? btu i have a feeling i am paying more than i should be.

$29 a month plus had to pay a $29 sign up fee. The monthly comes out of an auto draft and its based on a 12 month pay system but if you move or have a reason why you have to stop coming other than some pencil neck keeps buggin you for juice they are pretty understanding. A lot of Gyms also do a transient type membership for people visiting an area my gym does it but they are a small privately owned gym. We also have a new community center that has an excellent weight room facility. They have a daily charge of $2.00 per visitor. If you are in an area wehre there is a community college or university most of those also allow non-students and visitors to pay per visit and with all of the new technology their facilities are just as good as most of the big gyms...

I pay $24 cdn per month......LOL I guess that $2 US!

not anymore!;)

I'm paying 37 and change in CDN dollars per month.

I could get it at 20$ at the same gym if I go through my work program but the process will put my membership on hold for awhile....

I used to pay $47 a month but i dropped it and spent less than $2000 and put one in my garage, now i have people paying me $15 a month to workout at mine.

$39.99/month plus tax (to be exact)

I saw a show on yesterday that was talking about a gym in LA called Club L.A that is worth something like 16million dollars and to get in the cost is $3500 down and $300 a month!!!!!!!!!!!

They were talking about all the celebrities that train there like Justin Timberlake, Nelly, Arnold Scwarzenegger, Michael Jordan, George Clooney, and how they through a suprise birthday party for Tom Cruise on their basketball court.

The place looked pretty damn nice but for that kind of money I'd want them to wash my car while I workout, feed me before I workout, feed me after I workout, have Arnold train me, give me a massage, then scrub me down and tuck me in a quiet bed for a lil post workout nap. Then it might be worth it.

They had people playing violins, and other instruments in the yoga room with candles. WTF? It was pretty neat stuff.

I live in Northern California (SF Bay area). I mention this for 2 reasons. 1st, prices here are high. Second, there is a high demand for gyms here due to the lifestyle and that keeps prices high.

I belong to 2 gyms,

At Golds I pay $32 month for all club access. There was no fee to join when I joined but they have since instituted a 99 dollar fee -- which they will waive if you negotiate. The Fees are month to month, no long term contract.

My other gym is 24 hour fitmess. Currrently I pay 99 dollars a year for all club access but that is because I have been a member for so long. Normally, their rates depend upon the length of the contract. Something like 149 dollars to join and 50 dollars a month for month to month. If you sign a 1 2 or 3 year contract rates are reduced a great deal.
