Is there anyone else that has hypoglycemia or diabetes? I've found that l-leucine stabilizes my symptoms, but if I come off of it for even a day, my system completely freaks out like it forgot how to regulate itself. I've seen the lowest blood sugar test numbers I've ever had if I forget to take it.

If you have hypoglycemia or diabetes, what do you do to control your blood sugar along with your diet for bodybuilding?

My old roomate was diabetic and about the only thing that really worked was a clean diet, eating at the same time every day. I never knew you were diabetic suadades. Best of luck finding your answer.

i dont think hes truly diabetic i could be wrong. Ive been hypo off immense growth factor but thats it. Also when dieting every once in a while my carbs will be low and after a leg day ill get daized and confused a little sugar makes it go away quickly.

The only hypoglycemia i get is self induced... with insulin... wonder leucine would help reduce that symptoms...

I'm not diabetic, but I am hypoglycemic which is considered a precursor to diabetes. The difference is that my body overproduces insulin in response to meals so my blood sugar drops lower than it is supposed to. I found that l-leucine (an essential amino-acid) is used in the body to regulate blood sugar, and that hypoglycemics/diabetics may be deficient in this amino-acid. My main question was how others with this condition have worked their diet.

im hypoglycemic unfortuntly, i gotta always have a candy bar around ro some sweets, almost passed out in BJ's wholesale wharehouse not long ago, my cloths were soaking wet in seconds and i got dizzy , had to leave and start eatuing lucky charms i just bought from the store

i always knew you were a smart guy!

My daughetr is hypoglycemic, and my ex is insulin-dependent diabetic, so I've lived with this much of my life. FWIW, my daughter's hypo spells *always* came from one of two reasons: Either (1) a combination of dehydration, not eating, and being excited [so, drink water when you;re exercising and pumped!], and (2) eating simple sugars (white flour, white bread, white flour pasta, fruit juice). The simple sguars produced a hyper-spike of insulin. the short-lasting sugar disappeared, and she 'bottomed out.' It was *hard* to bring her around once she went on a swing, but easy to *avoid* it in the first place if she avoided simple carbs, simple flour, and stayed hydrated.

I didn't know you were hypoglycemic, Press. What have you done to keep it from affecting your bodybuilding?

Truth is bro I just found out about a month ago bro, after that episode i wrote about above where i almost passed out in store and sweat through my cloths i went to the doctors and they sent me for blood work and told me i was most likly hypoglycemic, I dont need to take anything i was just told how to eat properly, lol, and more often and to always keep something on me to eat,

So we're both learning how to deal with it. They told me pretty much the same thing; eat properly and more often, and keep something with you.

I have a slightly different form called reactive hypoglycemia. I get it after eating just about anything. I can get it after any big meal, and I can have a spell even after taking my protein shake. It is definitely very difficult to come back out of a severe spell. Just last Sunday, my blood sugar went down to about 55, brought it back up only to have it bottom out again a couple of hours later down to 49. Finally stabilized it, but it took about an hour and a half just to feel somewhat normal again.

some scary shit bros i know when i got it a couple times from immense growth i was scared shitless. you have had it after a hard workout havent you norm? called somethin different but ive had it once or twice. I just went and bought a gatorade and it slipped away. Funny thing is i was confused i was trying to pay for my gatorade and i couldnt find my wallet anywhere it was in my pocket lmao. Gym owner said i was pale as a sheet too.

i remeber the scariest time i ever went hypo, i measured out what i thought was around 10ius of humalog turned out to be around 25-30ius how i measured so incorrectly is beyond me but i got complacent, and anywho i was walking around with my ex at the time in the city when all of a sudden i was drenched in sweat, i couldnt see straight was about to black out, i had to run to one of those shitty hotdog vendors and get me a bunch of soda, chips, and candy, i ate a bunch of it and came around but i was so damn scared, moral of the story is dont get complacent with your gear or shots just beecause you have been doing it along time

do you guys think this is do to gear?

No, apparently, I've had this for a long time just that I never knew it. I recognize the symptoms I had, only they were never this bad. It has only been this last year that it became worse. My Mother was diagnosed with type II diabetes a couple of years ago, so blood sugar problems seem to run in the family.

i know myself well enough to realize that i personally could never use slin, my diet is NOT that perfect. It sucks as the results that people get is rediculous if used correctly... i will never be able to give real life experiences on slin, b/c if i tried it, i'd be a deadman..

i think your cycle is awesome though w/ or w/o the slin
