I need opinions

I am currently trying to gain mass. I have been working out 3 days a week for a while and have decided to try 4. After my first week of doing this I do not like how it feels. I know every person is different, but do you guys think the change will be beneficial?

I am currently doing mon:chest tri
tues:back bi
thurs:shoulder trap
fri:legs

I am thinking of doing push pull legs, or even full body twice a week.

Which do you guys think would be best for me to gain mass?
 
Not sure what you meant by "don't like how it feels". Do you feel you are overtraining? Seems like you have enough rest days in there. What are your stats/age ect. If you are bulking, how about diet? Enough protein and carbs? Give us some particulars and you'll get help from some very knowledgeble people here.

I'm a small guy. 21 years old 5'6 and 160 lbs.(I look bigger than I sound lol)

I do feel like I'm overtraining. I'm hoping my body will adapt.

I eat 5 times a day. I do not eat too clean because I feel I get better results from eating "junk" food (higher in calories. )


I do not really count calories but I think I get about 3500, 200 grams protein.
 
How long have you been training, and what sort of progress have you made to this point?
 
First write down everything you eat and drink and when for 3 days-you'll be suprised at how difficult it is to get 250g protein and 4000 total calories(my reccomendation for growth at your weight)-also routine is really meaningless-you'll find an opinion for every bro on the board but the THREE things they will all agree to is INTENSITY of training,DISCIPLINE of diet and FULLNESS of recovery.In short if you want to grow meat ya gotta train like your life depends on it!!
 
you gotta eat to grow, plain and simple.......take in more protein and more calories overall

I train each body part once a week, and I've seen good results for years now
 
Damn how did I miss this thread, this is right up my alley being that I was that size and had a hard time growing etc. Ok first off we (you and I) are "hardgainers" for w/e that is worth in other words we can cut like hell but hard for us to gain. Ok for me to gain wt. I have found out do each body part once for 7 days and eat approx. 5500 to 6000 cals. I know you are going to ask how the hell do you get that much cals...well first off this is how I do it. I eat my 75g of pro per meal and my 100-150g of clean carbs, and if I am still hungry I eat w/e the hell I get my hands on whether it is cookie, yogurt, oreos, poptarts, etc. Yeah you will pick up fat, but that goes back to point 1 we can burn it off faster than avg. joe. So good luck and WRITE EVERYTHING YOU EAT DOWN it helps I promise!
 
Not a flame MID but why are you eating 70 g of protein per meal when your body can only assimilate 40-50gs every 2 hrs?
