I am 22 years old 6"1' and 160 lb. 5% body fat I have been going to the gym for a few 4 times a week for a month now and trying to take this seriously. I just want to know what everyone recomends for massing. I havent gained a single pound all that seems to be happening is my stamina and form are improving. What supplaments would you recomend with a limited income? where can you learn about a good diet? where can i get a good work out plan? What level should I be at before considering d bol. should i consider d bol? where do i go to find out the best places to get gear? would weight gainers or crietine be a good option for me? please keep in mind i never want to be in a competition i just want to be the best i can be. I am going to go over to afganastan within a year and i want to be in top shape for war so i am taking this very seriously. before now i ran 4 times a week now I want to work on the rest of me.

any help with any of those questions would be great.

first, you are too inexperienced to be using any AAS now. But I see alot of questions pertaining to diet and legal supplements so are thinking about the other things

Your statement is confusing concerning how long you have been training? Only for a month? Or did I read that wrong?

5% bodyfat is really low. If you really are that low you sound like an ecto and the only solution to that is to eat more. Jack up your protein. I weigh 230 and usually eat 400grams of protein and 800 grams of carbs. Play with you caloric intake. Create a journal and keep track of how many cals you take in. Bump it up say 250 calories or so every few days and you will eventually start to gain. Every person has a caloric rate they can maintain and keep a weight, but eventually you will find the magic number. Diet is absolutely key. You can kill yourself in the gym but if you don't eat right you are not, and I really stress not, going to make gains like you could.

yes a month doing lifting. but before that i was working on mosty cardio. (running) Thats why i need to know so much about the basics.

Don't even contemplate any aas. My numbers up there are pretty high but those are what I shoot for. I usually take in 350 plus in the protein department. I take six meal with 60 grams of protein and double that in carbs usually. Anyway, the running is gonna keep you lean. Im not saying stop but it is going to jack up your caloric needs. You need to work out for literally years before you reach your genetic potential. Then maybe gear but you can make great gains without that. You have high test levels at your age, so hit it hard and eat well.

Yep, I agree with the others, you need to get some training under your belt before even thinking about AAS, at least 3-4 years of core training and eating well. You can still go ahead and do research though so you'll be prepared to make the decision to use AAS or not when the time comes.

Agreed. Im always doing research. Reading is another great way to get bigger in all honesty. Study your body and find out what it takes to grow. One thing to be weary of is supp ads though. Don't believe all the promises they offer.

the most anabolic thing you can put into your body is food... good quality food, not cheap, fast food or heavily processed stuff. Take care of your diet and your diet will take care of you.

Thanks guys. So no AAS but what supplaments should i stack to help me get some extra calories in my diet and gain mass. where do i learn about a good diet for me and a work out program?

some may disagree, but I say dont even worry about supplements now. The only exception is protein - be it powders, weight gainer, or protein bars. But even those can cost more than regular food and I still avoid most of them to this day. You dont get big off supplements (or AAS), you get big off a shitload of whole food.

Again, some may disagree, but I say go on the "seefood" diet. With your metabolism, and especially with your running alot, you need high calorie (i.e. JUNKFOOD) foods and alot of them. Eat all day, snack all day between meals, drink only liquids with calories (like milk, gatoraid, etc). trust me, you will gain weight.

I would add for you to do mainly core exercises. SQUATS, bench, deadlifts.
Stay away from the "shaping" moves - side laterals ect. Try to go heavy
with good form. Every workout go just a little heavier or xtra rep so you are
always taxing the muscle a little more then the last workout. Consistancy
is important. If you miss a workout - dont beat yourself up - just make the
next one. And I repeat - EAT. Keep reading and asking questions and as
you grow your knowledge will also.

Sea food, protein, heavy lifts with lots of squats, junk food... mainly just eat :) sounds great. I'll be sure to cheak back in for more ideas. Right now i just plan to go pick up a bunch of tuna, some whey protein, maybe a weight gainer, and try to hit the gym a little harder. as for the AAS i only asked about it because my roomate had some and i was wondering if it was even an option because of it being for bulking.

Thanks again and anymore advice would still be appriciated

i agree 110% , food is key in gaining, losing, or maintaining.

but try to stick with real foods bro, i see you like to eat, but you named off alot of whey protein and weight gainers. try to keep the protein high with mayeb 4 solid meals a day and 2 weight gainers shakes.... DO NOT LET YOU MAIN PROTEIN SOURCES COME FROM JUST SHAKES

No ASS bro, you have to go to the gym for at least two years, eating, and suplementing your self you body is going to change the same as if you are on ASS. you have a lot to learn from yourself in the gym and outside the gym wich is where you grow. You should be able to put 40 pounds of pure muscle in your 6'1'' frame easy in a couple of years with a proper supervision.

Let me ask you something, are you able to drive a Formula 1 car before you drive a go cart?
All achievements in life take steps and ASS may not be one step for you unless you incomes depends of it.

another thing, I try to avoid "lean protein" sources if you wanna put on size. red meat, and lots of it!

BUMP to not touching gear, ur stats say ur in great shape. Start eating like a beast, eat till you cant eat anymore. Train for a few years before u get into gear. Trust me the wait will be worth it, reach ur max naturally before you use anything synthetic. Patience is key, just be safe and work hard.
