I'm 6', 160 lbs, and cannot gain to save my life. Every time I think I'm ready to start using, I come on a site like this and just feel overwhelmed. I thought you just got your stuff and started using. I didn't know there were so many options of what anabolic to use and that you also had to use a test and the other stuff. Is there a good post on here with the basic things I need to know? Cuttingedgemuscle.com has a good Newbie FAQ, but most of the links are outdated. I thought my biggest problem was where to find the stuff, but I don't know anything about what to use, especially for a first time, dosage, or anything. Please help! Also, if there are certain terms I'm not supposed to use on these boards, please let me know.

I think ur best bet to find everything u need to know is to start a thread like this one, so ur on the right track now brutha. How old are you before anything because gear isnt for everyone and especialy the young. In any case all your questions can and prolly will be answered in this thread

and welcome!

well for someone in their 30's who has exhausted all other options then i would say a good small test based cycle would do the trick, no real need to stack a bunch of things, a simple 250-500mgs of test e or test c would do the trick to get past the hump

Test e or test c...I'll look those up. Also, I know we can't ask about sources, but where should I start looking. I know everyone says, "ask the biggest dude at your gym", but I also know that people don't like to discuss their activities with strangers at a gym. I've seen Bigger, Stronger, Faster...does the "anti-aging" doctor routine actually work? I am lean and muscular, so I feel like they would just say, "yeah, right".

Being lean and muscular has nothing to do with it. If you go in and have tests done on your testosterone level, and they find you have a low level, they should be obligated to put you on something. I tested low at 30 years old and have now been on hormone replacement for over 11 years now. I was like you, and I could never gain either so I would strongly suggest you go get tested.

So, that could work completely legit? I wouldn't have to find a doctor willing to bend the test results?

Why would they have to bend the test results? I'm talking about testing legitimately low.

Well, honestly, I just never thought that could be my problem. I just always thought I was as big as I could get naturally. Even at 18-19, the most I ever weighed was 170 and I was working out 5-6 times a week then and taking loads of supplements.

Seriously, you should get tested to see if that really is your problem. I thought the same thing, but after I finally got tested and I was low, I realized I should have done it earlier. I used to be 130, ate lots of food, took lots of supplements, and worked out hard, but I only got to 150. Once I got on hormone replacement, I gained 30 lbs in 3 months (and that was really a trip because I would literally grow out of clothes in a week). My body had been ready to gain but just didn't have what was necessary.

Just an update...I finally got into the doctor and got my levels checked. I knew right from the start that this doctor wasn't going to help. He kept asking why I wanted my hormone levels checked. I tried to explain how I just cannot gain any weight no matter how much I eat or how much I lift weights. And he says, "Well why do you want to gain weight?" I'm wanting to scream, because I'm 6' and 160 pounds, fool! I tried to tell how I've seen friends start training and instantly look 20 pounds heavier and I've worked out 17 years and am barely above my starting weight. I had been to this doctor once before and thought he would be a good one to try, because he seemed really quick to write prescriptions the first time.

Well, I finally had to call back in to get my test results and they said that the normal range for my age was something like 250-700 and my testosterone leval was 410 or something like that. So, I've ordered some test e from Genxxl and will go that route.

Well, you're certainly in the borderline low category. As I mentioned in another thread, a good doctor would put you on something to have you in the mid to high-mid range, usually around 800 or so. The upper limit of the level range is not 700 but 1100, so that doctor has it wrong and probably hasn't studies about this kind of stuff at all. I think you'll find that the test e will really help, and since you gain the most the first time around, I would suggest at least 500-600mg/week. Watch out for stretch marks! :)
