Hi Team,

I have been around a while, I used to hang at Steroid World with a few top men like " Banana", "Hitter" and a few other classics. That was a good ten years ago now, oh how time flys. I have since had a family and now that my kids are older its time for dad to get back to the gym :show:

I did a couple of cycles back then and got some god solid gains, but like I said its been a while. I feel like a noob again, but I have read a great deal of top info on this site and decided to take the jump. Like S.W I hope to make some good friends here, the overall feel is positive and focused compared to sites and forums I have visited lately, the vibe is good, so here I am.

I will be looking for some solid advice as I work towards my first cycle in a looong time, there is much for me to catch up on, new brands, applications, products, training approaches etc. however now at 45 I am a little wiser and a damn site more patient. Quality this time, rather than quantity.....

Welcome brutha! good to have ya with us. Im sure any questions you have can be answered. How long has it been since you did a cycle or hit the gym hard? and what are u looking to do?
 
Sounds like you've got all the bases covered. Welcome! This is a great group of people and a fantastic atmosphere. I've always been a proponent of lower dose longer cycles. Are you on HRT?

welcome. Just my opinion but see how far you can get with smart workouts and GOOD diet first. If you really eat good
I think you will be surprised on the progress you can make. Also muscle memory should come into play. Keep us posted
on your progress. One more thing. lol again, just my opinion, dont go crazy first time back. Dont do too much too soon.
Ease into it and just do a little more each time. I seems the ones who do too much too soon seem to get burned out.

Presser, to answer your question mate, I want to strip off some unwelcome fat, built up of years in an office after an active lifestyle. Then pack on some prime kobe to my meager frame

A little more history. So I was involved in the bodybuilding industry for many years, I spent some time as a sales rep for twinlab, and some other notables, then took on some individual research to stop hard working body builders piss their money away on ineffectual supplements. I was a diet and supplement adviser and photo journalist for a couple of martial arts mags had monthly columns etc. I sponsored many BB comps, did the presentations, handed out trophies etc. Got pretty heavy into the lifting myself and started to make some solid gains. Then I pissed of my "employers" because I wouldn't lie for them to sell supplements. So I told them to shove it.

I then moved to the USA where I worked as an "operator" specializing in executive personal protection. I fell in love with an american girl, got married had kids and moved back to New Zealand with my family when we lost our home through the recession. Broke my heart, as I love your country guys,

Anyway, I have not been full on training for several years, still carry some of the hard earned gains but also a lot of fat which is beginning to disgust me. My kids have now finished school, so dad is getting that "Itch" and the gym is looking damn inviting. It's time for me to saddle up!

So as I mentioned earlier, I have completed a couple of cycles ( 8 years ago ) consisting of:

300 mg test p/w
300 mg deca p/w
dbol, four weeks at 20mg p/d

PCT was clomide.

Currently I am sitting right on 100 kg @ 6' tall but carry about 10-12kg of fat, I desperately want to move. The first problem I have is that I am unable to do traditional cardio exercises due to a neck injury that does not allow me to run or swim etc. funnily enough, I have no problems with the weights. I don't mind the hard yards, but do want to maximize the results of any regime I take on. I pretty much have diet and supplements drilled down, but would like some advice on workout tech and any other "supplementation" that may be worth adding to my program. I am sure things have changed over the last 10 years, so I am here to ask the pro's. Once I have stripped the lard, I would like to get back into packing on some muscular poundage...is it to late to want to look good again, turn heads and feel pride in my form? Hell no.

Thanks in advance team for any advice you wish to afford me. Feel free to ask honest questions, I will be sure to give you honest answers.

Dude, would you be willing to explain your thoughts on your low dose / long cyc. And the HRT? Cheers mate

Hey MC, all good solid advice, def watching the diet right now and need to watch my approach to the gym due to an injury that has healed but will never be the same. So points taken mate.....now where is my dumbbell ;)

well that was a pretty thorough run down of things,lol, and I wouldnt bother with a lot of gear at first, at 45 years old, testosterone would do you good period at a nice low dose and nothing else until you lose the extra fat, then you can start thinking about stacking compounds in my opinion!
 
Yea I think the re-introduction to test would do wonders for your body at this point, it'd be like trying it for the first time again. It'd also make you feel like a 25 year old in the bedroom again
 
Are you able to go to a Dr and have your levels checked? That would be a good start and then possibly have him start you on test to get back to the optimal range.
Personally I'm on hormone replacement therapy for life so I don't ever come off. I like to use lower dose of different drugs over a longer period. I've got scripts for pretty much anything so it makes it a little easier to try things out. Personally test and Deca are the best for me with the least sides

My doctor, like most where I live are very traditional and not to progressive. So the short answer to your question is no I would not be able to get a hook up on prescription. Would you be willing to outline your program? Dose/product, schedule etc? I think your all correct in thinking that just test is the way for now, so I find the HRT interesting.

I lived in the States for 12 years I contract as a personal protection specialist. Did 4 years in DC, a year in Nashville and a couple in Phoenix. Got to travel the world quite extensively. Every now and again I get a contract to good to turn down, so I pack up my shit and head out. Can be a few hours to a few months just depends. Drives the missis crazy lol, but she chills when I get paid :)
