Are the older silver coins that were in circulation the same kind of silver that you'd buy now? I have a bunch of them put away that my father gave me, but I can't see them being worth that much

I am a coin collector. I have my grandfathers collection along with my own. PLEASE trust me coins can be worth much more than the silver price. Get your self a coin book and learn alittle about what you have.

Yep. Pre 1964 Silver dollars, halves, quarters, and dimes are all 90% silver. Nickels are different based on year. Some are 90%, some are 35% or 40%. For instance a 1920 Morgan Dollar coin is with $26 based solely on its silver content. I buy the old coins in bulk at spot value.

I do the same, i even buy scrap gold on ebay. Just purring it away for my kiddies. Theres always good deals on ebay just got to get them when they first list them.

I found this on APMEX, is this something that you're talking about? I didn't know if this would be legit silver or not...

Only thing with bullion which I like is that with silver where do you put it? I mean say you have 5000 coins where the going to go, with gold you wont have that problem, less to hide but I do like both

It's an unknown mystery where I store mine, but even with silver 5000 1oz coins doesn't take up TOO much space. Alot less than the $150,000 that's its worth.

No investing for me. In burying my $$$$$. Trust no one

I will be following suit. I've heard that shipping containers are being sold left and right. I'm hoping that prices don't start rising. I want one buried at my place in Tennessee. So in essence I want to bury my valuables as well

I understand having cash on hand in case the ATMS and credit cards don't work, but if the stock market crashes the dollar will be worth very little

I didn't mean cash. We keep as little cash as possible. Land, building on our land, gold, silver, food, ammunition, guns, etc is where all of our money goes.

The dollar isn't revolved around the market. If the market dips, cash is king. Just like when it took a shit a few years ago, everyone with liquidity held the cards because everyone loaning fake money didn't anything to back up those loans.

no, what if it took a shit not a dip-the dollar won't be backed by anything...at that point it's nothing more than toilet paper
