I have always been the fat kid growing up and finally got off my dead ass after 28 years and got in shape. Even though I got healthier i never got the physic that I wanted 200-220lbs guy with 10% bf. Well today I went to my first strongman contest to support a friend of mine. I was very interesting to see some of the stuff they do. Its something that I could actually get into. Its actually how my frame is built. Some of these guys were freaking huge. My question is, is it possible to have the build of a well conditioned guy and still do strongman.

I would definately think so. It all depends how far you want to go with it. As an adjunct kind of thing I think it would be great, just don't go too crazy as I hear those guys get injured alot. The training they do is intense so as long as your diet is good I don't see why it wouldn't work

I want to train with my friend but we live really far apart. 80miles. he tells me that anytime I want to come down on the weekends its cool. If I get this house we are trying to get it would put me 50 miles closer so that is a good chance I will at least try. as of now with gas it would kill me.

You could start buying a piece of strongman equipment here there and dot our own training at home.

Absolutly bro! Some of the pros look like they could compete on stage after maybe a month or so of dieting! So yes I think you can have both a good physique and be competitive in strong man! Have you ever seen Derek Poundstone, their aint much fat on that guy and theirs no doubt he can get on stage for a bodybuilding show and hes one of the best on the world of strong man!!
