Obamacare ruled to be Constitutional. In a nut shell the Supreme Court ruled Congress has the power to make Americans buy any private product they want as long at the punishment for non purchase is a tax.

I've been waiting for your post about this. It is totally disgusting. I am surprised that there isn't mass rioting on the streets. Well here it is. The day our founding fathers worked so hard to prevent.

Obamacare isn't perfect...far from it.

However, as long as you're going to maintain a *for-profit* healthcare system, if you actually want everyone to have access to healthcare, you're going to need *something* like this.

Being from Canada, I still don't understand the American reluctance to socialize medicine. Our system isn't perfect either, but I like the idea of not having to worry about my insurance dumping me, or if I'm not insured, having to sell my house to pay medical bills.

It's all well and good to say "it's my choice", if you actually *have* a choice. Medical insurers in the US like to drop anyone who costs them money. Sometimes they even get the courts to allow them to do it, on the grounds it would be detrimental to their *shareholders*. Shareholders??? How about the insured you're supposed to be covering?

I don't think Obama's solution is the best one, but just maybe, it's the best he could do for now. Don't even try to sell me on the idea the system fine before, that just won't fly.

I'm ducking, and putting on my bulletproof vest now. Just an opinion, guys, like the ones we're all entitled to have.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion- but I don't like being told what kind of insurance I need for me or my family.
I don't like the fact that I will have to pay for those that don't have it or don't even want it.
Next they will be telling us what to eat (they are almost there) and what to drive (almost there too).
Today's decision was a slap in the face to United States citizens.
All we can hope is that the democratic system will end all this madness in November.

Forget Obamacare its a disaster. The BIGGER UNDER LYING ISSUE is new status quo that the SCOTUS just granted Congress and the real issue about the Obamacare decision is the new found taxing power the court granted congress. Its now unlimited in power. Literally Congress can regulate and mandate ANY AND ALL BEHAVIOR as long as the punishment of non action is a tax.

It's definitely not going to be good in its current state. In order for this to be at all beneficial there's some major changes that need to be made to it, but I don't see that happening. I receive free health, dental and eye insurance through my employer, but I can foresee that being a thing of the past. With this new shit taking effect and our union contract being up next year things are going to be a mess for me and my co-workers and that's just a tip of the iceberg
