I had the same problem. I was pissing blood, and had a lot of protein in my urine. I went to a Nephrologist and she was cool as hell. I told her about AS and she said could be UBT from my aches and pains of AS I took Ibuprofren on a everyday basis. She told me that I-b is TERRIBLE on your kidneys and I was taking this is heavy doeses. She told me that's why most older people's kidneys go bad. They have athritis then take assloads of I-B then it tears there kidneys up. She didn't totally rule out AS but definitely said I-B was the main concern. I haven't taken Ibuprofen now in 2 years andhave cleaned up temendously. The last time I went to her, all I was taking was M1T and my urine had a tiny bit of blood , not that I could see but from what she said. It has dramatically inproved. I am now on a very low carb, HIGH protein diet, no AS .. yet.. I"m going to in about a month.. but lemme know what the Doc says.

That's interesting, I had forgotten about ibuprofen. Man, there is so much we have to keep up on nowadays. I haven't taken ibuprofen or acetaminophen for a long time. I only take it when I have really intense pain that I can't deal with (which doesn't happen much), and I feel my health is far better now because I don't take it often like I used to.

i work night shifts, so i sometime take tylenol pm 2 sleep. gotta biopsy sched in begin of dec. so should find out soon...
