That was awesome. I think the member in question must be Ronnie Coleman based on the comments.

That's fucking hilarious. An old man probably doing curls in the squat rack got threatened lol

Haha, I could see that happening to some of the guys that go to the local Y here.

From a gym owners POV, this is an issue. I deeply agree with all our (meaning you, me and most others at MC) training philosophies and protocols. I will never ever demonize or condescend hard work and effort. Even if it involves verbal bursts. Its all part of the game. BUT

The average Joe or Jill hates this with a passion. What you did was rather funny and I actually applaud you for it. I think its rather ironic that ordinary members abhor this type of behavior, when in fact its the average ordinary person that violates gym rules. Ever notice they take 5 minutes between sets all the while clunking their fat ass on the machine or bench? Do they think Lazy Boy made that shoulder press? Ever notice how rude they are for talking to you when you are in the middle of a set? And in between sets when brief talking is allowed, you try and walk away and they follow you or try to initiate more conversation? Ever notice how rude they are when they talk or text while taking up space on the gym floor?

I've always said "Just leave us the fuc* alone. Don't talk to us, don't try and engage us in anyway." Average Joe is it that hard?? I feel like customizing a tee shirt, wearing it that says
Please leave me alone, I'm training. Heres answers to your top 3 questions
*Think of a number, now take that times 10 (How much are you lifting?)
*For when before you were stuffing your face w/crap foods and doing beer bongs (How long you been lifting?)
*Because it frinkin hurts (Why are you making those faces and noises?)

Of course this is where Planet Fitness picks up the slack and laughs all the way to the bank. Their members lose a few pounds and a few inches, they become the tallest midgets and they PF gives them some sort of recognition or accolade for this, putting them on the wall for losing a whopping 10lbs in one year. Wow

OK rant over, sorry. Bro find another gym, not a fitness center, hopefully a hard core one. I only wish as on owner there were more like you. But OTOH like the saying goes "Gotta make dollars before it makes sense" Until then I'm stuck with my ordinary members, bless their souls. They are more lighter weights more than a pair of 10 yr olds downing a liter of Jack
