I was building a race car( thats where the name CH3NO2, the chemical name for Nitromethane comes from) and was working my ass off trying to pay off debt and took about 2 years off too. Got back into the gym and was going for about 7 months and twisted my knee pretty bad and that took another 8 months off. Been back at it for 19 months or so.

All is well and I feel great. Just getting back to where I was with a little more BF that is coming off now.

i got into sales industry in 2002 and was out of the gym until 2007.....it came back pretty quick, bigger, stronger....then again due to my partying, drinking, random chicks, i was out from jan-june this year......once again coming back faster and alot bigger.....muscle memory is amazing and with the knowledge i've gained about bodybuilding items the quality is much better also, not only with stuff that i take to assist in my bodybuilding success, but the way i train, eat, rest, everything just makes sense now......it sucks that i didn't learn my lessons in life earlier, but i'm glad that i finally did and i'm more focused than ever now to accomplish the goals that i dreamed about several years ago......

I went 2 months with no weights with the bicep repair, I really thought I was going to die. Without the gym, I couldn't make it day to day. My Dr. thinks I'm bat shit crazy. If it came down to it, I would quit my job, move or whatever else was necessary to get me back in the gym.

you know, the whole 2 years i took off... I felt like a part of my life was missing.

Had labrum repair september 2nd, and im sure I wont be able to work out for 5 months, so that'll def. be the longest.

What were your symptoms?? My MRI report said I had tears in my anterior labrum, but then my ortho said I was fine. This was found via the MRI for my bicep injury.
