Good point. I've also noticed that 5htp makes me feel less sluggish and more motivated. I usually use it after a cycle, when that $hitty feeling creeps in.

Try simple things like more sleep or getting a ZMA supplement.

Using caffeine, ephedrine, vinopocetine, etc will work fine for a temp amount of time but you'll also be more dehydrated, and have lower amt's of DHEA, calcium and/or epinephrine (due to negative efx on adrenal glands). Caffeine efx the levels of many of those things. So I quick fix isn't always the best answer look at your diet, training and sleep to get a better idea of what could be causing your low energy level.

Up your protein for starters and maybe decrease your fat (esp. saturated fat intake) and make wholesome choices for your carbs (ie-complex...oatmeal, veges, fruits, brown rice, etc).

Maybe you're overtraining and that could very well be the cause of your low energy levels. Take a couple days off and buy yourself a mag to build up motivation to get back in the gym and start fresh if needbe.

thanx for all the great advice!! i will try each one and see what i come up with! i do like the idea of a long term fix and not just a spike!

thanx again!!!

simple enough- whenever i get low on energy i just take a multi-vatamin, but i'm not sure what in the multivitamin gives me more energy, and i don't take vitamins regularly only when i get low on energy..

If you need an energy boost, there is a product called "Emergen-C" which contains megadoses of vitamin C and B vitamins, and regular doses of some other vitamins and minerals. It comes in little packets of powder which dissolves into 4-6 ounces of water. There are different flavors (some better than others--I recommend tangerine and raspberry) and they are fizzy as well. Excellent stuff. I've been getting my wife to use those instead of drinking one or more bottles of coke per day to help her stop depending on the sugar and caffeine in the coke.

specifically which vitamins give you the energy, i don't need most of that crap in the multis; I just wanna use vitamins when i'm feelin low on energy or when i havn't been able to eat enough vegis..

Supposedly B vitamins help with energy (metabolism thing) but it would be best if you were to take a multivitamin, if not everyday. If you take high doses of a specific vitamins, minerals or trace nutrients you will end up low in others. Also, be careful with too much A,D,E,K they are fat soluble vitamins and can be toxic if too much is taken.
