I think there is only a certain amount your body can digest in one meal. Given you have limited amount of digestive enzymes. Also if you are not worried about fat, you may wanna consider the intestinal health as indigested meat does nasty things to gut. You can find several talks online on this subject.
So for overall health I would limit my serving to what I can digest which in my case ranges from 50-60 grams protein, same amount of carbs and 10-15 grams fat.
Now frequency is a different thing. Somedays I can do 5 solid meals and 2 liquid but other days I struggle with 4. That's where carb cycling helps me as I get a break from eating large amounts all the time. Plus the benefits.

It varies from person to person and age and sex plays a factor. Layne Norton has a bad ass video blog about that. 40-50 grams seems about average.

Normally 50 or so. I think you can do quite a bit more within an hour of training though

Yeah I'm not a fan if the person but I am a fan of the info. He comes across abrasive an always on the defensive

Yea Layne does always seem on the defensive and angry, but if he is truly natural (which we could never know, but I think he is cause he just doesn't look like the muscle groups that have high androgen receptors are overly develeped) then I don't blame him since it must be annoying getting accused of something you didn't do all the time.

Anyway to the OP, I agree that 50 is a good guideline and during certain times of the day like morning or post training the body will absorb more, however, I think it is very important to take into account the half life of the protein source. For example, no way your body could use 75 g of whey in the middle of the day since it has a two hour half life, but if that was from ground beef then yeah you may be able to use all that protein.

50 is a good high number. your body can only assimulate so much at a time. Waste to shit out good protien. lol
Wow, never seen so many of us in this close of agreement. lol

Your body can only process 8 grams per hour, so if the food starts passing before your body has had a chance to digest it, it is just wasted. 50 grams is about the safe number for most people.

SInce AAS utilize protein much more efficiently I would think you could add more protein into each feeding, by maybe what 15-20%?

Layne Norton who wrote a study on protein synthesis said that aas does not effect the amount you can utilize. He mentions it in a few of his video blogs, not sure why exactly without understanding what the study says.

My protein intake right now is the lowest it's been in a year. I always hit 2g per bodyweight or 1.5 grams but now I fluctuate from 1 to 1.5 and grew the same and am holding my weight the same.
