Just got an order in from US Wellness Meats. All organic, grass-fed, pasture-raised animals. Great farm!

Here's the list:

4 NY Strip Steaks
2 Ribeye Steaks
2 Filet Mignon Steaks
3lb Bottom Round Roast
1.5lbs Pork Bacon
1lb Beef Bacon
1lb Salami
1lb Bologna
(5) 1lb packs of Beef Franks
(3) 3lbs packs of Chicken Wings
25lbs of Ground Beef

Total of about 51lbs of HEALTHY meat, shipped to the front door for about $400. I highly recommend these guys to anyone looking for a good source for healthy, humanely-rasied meat. And they have an EXTENSIVE selection!!

That is a nice looking collection of meat, but $400 seems like an awful lot.

For over 50lbs of meat, I think $400 is pretty reasonable. Even if it is a little more, I'd rather pay more for healthy food now than pay it to the doctor later because I'm sick from eating garbage food.

Yeah, I guess I wasn't considering that it was organic beef. That is probably what drives the price up. Let us know how it all tastes.

It's delicious. It's not my first order ;) Just figured I would give people an option for meat source they may not know about.

If you want to look around their site it's

www.grasslandbeef.com

They have a ton of good, healthy food.

I may take a look. I've got a source for boneless skinless chicken breasts for $1.50 a lb. No deals on meat though so I stick with 93% Lean ground beef at $4.70 a lb.

How long will all of that last you?

Not really sure, my guess is a month. Already made a meatloaf (2lb ground), chilli (2lb ground), chicken wings and salami/bologna sandwiches. I figure $100 a week on meat isn't too bad. We spend about $35/wk on milk/dairy, $30/wk eggs and $50/wk on veggies and then miscellaneous stuff here and there. About $200/wk for two people to eat very healthy is very reasonable I think (especially when one of them eats like a bodybuilder).
