That was an awesome event! The French were talking smack, saying how they were going to beat the U.S., and we won! The look on the French team's faces were priceless.

i watched it and loved every minute of it lol. I thought we were giong down for a bit. Lezach or however you spell it did awesome to come back and win. The U.S. team were still great sports about it too. Phelps shook all their hands and clapped etc. when they got the silver. Gotta love the good sportsmanship.

BTW Phelps is the man as well as Lezak. Lezak came from behind and won. If I remember correctly he didn't even have has hand fully extended like the french guy did, because he immediately sprung up to check the time. They smashed the world record by almost 4 seconds. Cool shit!!!

yep wife and i were watching it, and half way through the last stretch when the USA anchor man started catching up from so far behind we were going nuts screaming and high fiving,lol, the french said and I wuote "we will SMASH the Americans" lmao, thats why u never ever ever ever ever predict a win of a sporting event ur competing in. Karma is a bitch and revenge is a dish served best WET BABY!

Yea, the 3rd guy (jones I think) was lagging behind. I think they basically said he was the weak leak. You would think Lezak was holding back until the last 25meters when he just took off.

yeah the 3rd swimmer was slow as hell! But it was still good to see a black man in there even if he was the slowest of the 4! Swimming is such a white sport right now hopefuly it will diversify over the course of the next few Olympics
