dumb ass question and I dont know if its my digital camera or what, but when I look in the mirror I look 1 MILLION times better than when I try to take a progress pic with the camera. I know ive made good gains (actually losses) in my waist and my abs are really coming in, but the camera doesnt capture it?

Anyone?

Lighting, bro. The flash of the camera changes a LOT. I hate pics of me, when trying to capture progress. You need perfect lighting to really get the details.

I feel the same way. I look in the mirror and I think, 'man, I am making progress.' Then I try and take a pic and I just look like crap. :(

I tried to play with the flash and go into dark rooms to take the pics ect. but nothing is working.. I look like a complete slob in all the pics.. I hope people see what I see in the mirror and not what the camera is showing lol

yup same here. Pro's suck! They look damn good in photo's, and even way more super-human in person

remember when you're looking in the mirror that you're seeing angles that you're not when you take a photo. You're also moving and flexing and seeing yourself live. Keep those things in mind because a photo will flatten you out as well. Like posted above the lighting has everything to do with it. Direct overhead lighting is a key component to making you look good in a photo, NO FLASH.

Hit it right on the head.

damn bro's im trying everything lol and nothings working.. I tried standing directly under the light and turned the flash off from about 5ft away and 10ft away, and when the pic is about 30x30 pixels it looks okay, but when its blown up it looks like CRAP!! im so discouraged...

I agree 100%. I had to learn about the no flash thing as well. You need to put yourself in an area that has as close as possible to stage lighting at a bodybuilding show. All overhead and then find a good spot.
