I am not one to typically get sore in the gym as I do about the same amount of reps and sets for each bodypart from week to week just different exercises. But I've been getting sore a lot lately, can stress cause this? I've benen overly stressed lately to the point I force myself to go to the gym

Well of course it can... Stress = tension... tension causes a tightness in muscle which in turn can cause muscle aches and soreness... especially sense it is being coupled with working out... makes sense to me anyway.

put on the yoga pants and spend some time stretching and relaxing lol

haha Theres alot of MMA camps around here I bet I could find you a legit brazilian to do it... He will be gentle I promise

It very well could be overtraining. I'd say normally that if your workouts were similar as they've been in the past(without past problems), and you calorie intake is sufficient, then just the addedbstressbon your body could be pushing it last that limit it can take, and you are overtraining... If you have insurance and a doc, you can find out within the day, whether you are or not.. have your doc order a cmp(complete metabolic panel), get your blood drawn, and by the end of the day you should have results. You want to look at CPK levels, if they are over the high normal range then you are overtraining... From sounds of it that's the case, but that bloodwork will tell you for sure!!!

Yoga and brazilians sound more fun and alot easier...

Bro stress is a killer. I lost like 20lbs in 3 weeks when I was going through some shit at work last year. Nothing changed in my diet, training, or supplementation.

Stress with work has been crazy. My boss is up my ass and has given me 3 warning lettes in a week twice the past month. Next step on any of them is a suspension and then termination (until a panel hearing since we're union). I'm not one to typically bring home my work, but I'm beyond tired of the harassment and it is wearing on me.

I been stressed and havent been able to hit the gym (new job, irregular hours, bunch of dicks where everyone wants
to be a boss ect.......) except of mabey once a week and some days only eating once that day. I lost about 10 lbs in
the last 2 or 3 weeks. Trying to start reg. workouts and get back on track with diet. I love the 10 lbs lighter, waist
is really down. What Im getting at, lol, is I thought missing all the workouts and being 10 lbs lighter my strength
would suffer. When I do get in the gym my strength is the same, which usually isnt the case when loosing weight.
I think the time off lifting, with all the other stress going on, is what my body needed. Look at it as giving your body
a break during this time. Your in it for the long haul and will have the ups and downs. Give your body a little rest.
It at least is mentally easier looking at it this way. (for me at least)
