Muscle Tech making some sponsorship cutbacks

I heard this weekend that muscletech is cutting alot of sponsorship's and droping people left and right. Also the ones that they do keep, muscletech is not going to pay their way for the shows anymore. Guess they needed to save some money to pays Jay's, Phil's, and Branch's contract money. Word is that Phil is getting $500,000 and Jay is getting even more.

yeah this is pretty much true...I had a buddy from my area got dropped the other week...alot of the npc guys are getting dropped unless they are in the running for a pro card next year....

good, maybe now muscletech will lower their ridiculous prices on supplement

Wow I never would have guessed Phil would make that much. Is that an annual figure?

Anyhow, until a professional league can market themselves to a broader crowed and get themselves on television, I just don't see how most the competitors are going to be able to make a living out of it. IF these guys had more exposure via TV I believe it would lead to further sponsor sales which, in turn, would lead to more sponsorships.

Supplements really aren't marketed on TV at all now that I think about it, I never really thought about that...
