Need a Gas Beater

Looking for a used honda/toyota or soemthing that gets 40mpg.
My truck is killing the fuel bill. I dont care what it looks like.
Could care less if its a geo,, hell, I take a damn moped soon. Ill have that milk crate on the back with a bunjee cord. Ill make sure I have that bumper sticker that says', I drove a porchse, then got divorced, now I have this". Actually its the truth so why not.
Any ideas on a cheap, relaible gas beater??

My buddy got a used Toyota Echo for $3200 and it gets 40mpg's. Gas is getting outrageous. Silk and I are rethinking our living arrangements until we can move to Tennessee and may get a Biodiesel reactor and make our own for $1 a gallon..

one of my buddy's bought a little s-10 for cheap for gas purposes. check out craiglist and look at the cheapies some of the older hondas do well also, i know another person who got a honda crx and it gets good milage.

Hard to find the cheep ones now where im at. Sandy blew up this market here. Before sandy i had my gas saver 94 honda 149,000 on her. About 2 weeks back driveing the timeing belt went. Broke down on side of major road. Long story short paid 750.00 for her and junked her for 350.00. I look all day ever day but get caught up on the nice cars. Then when i try to ask the wife she laughts at me. I cant help it if i like the PIMPed out 745i BMW, M6 convertables, S65AMG. Im a big kid and want my toys. I looked at this alpine white 745i with deep dish white rims, tinted out. i fell in love again but as always wife steped in and broke my heart and said no.

i have 09 kia optima and it gets great gas mileage bought it used almost 2 years ago for 14,000 it had 20k miles with factory 50k warranty. i have not had a single problem with it and it just rolled over 60k they dont look to bad either better than moped lol

Before you buy another car do the math on just how much its going to cost you first just to save a few mpg. It may not be a smart thing to do.

The car itself is going to cost say $4000 then you have to add insurance to it that is going to cost you money every month you're currently not paying. How much gas can you buy with that $4000 and the monthly cost of insurance? Then you have to think about maintenance ect. Chances are its not worth it to buy a cheap beater. Just drive what you have now and cut other things in your life. Like Cable.

Beaters can go either way. I have had good ones that I paid 1 thousand for drove for over 100,000 miles with
no maintence other then cheap ass tires, 4 for a $100. That was a small old ford truck. My next beater lasted
about a month and i lost money on it. My wife has the new car and I kept her 95 honda with 240,000 miles on
it. Love it but have always changed the timeing belt around 100,000 mi. lol
My recomendation is to hopefully not be in a big rush, tell everyone you know your looking and watch the adds.
Every once in a while the one that was owned by a little old lady who drove to supermarket turns up.

i got an ol' hundai ill sell you for 100 bucks it runs, the top of the seats were eaten out by our horse. that and the paint is really fucked up, the car is supposed to be white but, its kinda more rust color on most spots. and all four tires are donut tires......like i said its a 100 dollar car

and shit REP ill trade for the fucker too, bottle a tren or what ever you'd like.
