I'm good through the day with caffeine, but it's the night time munchies that always gets me. Any thoughts?

i've tried that. but i'm vegetarian going full vegan. so it's soy for now. also my calories must remain very low.

celery, carots, high fiber food and cassien or fat free cottage cheese if your diet allows for it. Those are a few things off the top of my head.

if God wanted me to be a vegetarian he wouldn't have made cows taste soooooo good.

seriously though, drink lots of water and try and get yourself fruits and nuts. the fruit will keep you full(mostly because of the water and fiber content) and the nuts should help curb your hunger and supplement vits, Omega's, fatty acid and all that fun stuff

Gotcha, well there's anything with lots of fiber. Melons are all supposed to be good for filling up the stomach. I'm not sure about their sugar content, though it might be something to check on.

I would seriously stay away from pills like dexatrim, etc. That's really not the way. Better to teach yourself how to eat for your particular goal because that will give longer lasting results since it is a change in lifestyle.

you probably have an appetite because you are not eating enough - you're body is telling you something.

I seriously doubt you need another pill in your daily routine, but ephedra always kills my appetite pretty good.

I know what your talking about. I get hungry around 8pm every night. I can kick ass on the diet all day, but its around 8pm that the craving starts. Im totally cutting carbs, so its really tuff... everything has carbs!

Then, every diet pill out there will keep you awake all night, so its not like you can take anything....

I have learned that if i take a diet pill around 6pm ill be wired, but no cravings. Its been worst for me though cause im trying to use the diet pills less now... and work on the willpower more. But i've screwed up a lot. Just last night i couldnt resist a cupcake that we had out for my daughters birthday.... son of a bitch!! -lol!!

I'm going to have some caffeine along with my night time meds, have those increased, and see what happens with that. I have the low dose caffeine in crystal lite that works throughout the day. My night time meds could bring down a horse.

I don't think the caffeine will do too much. You are better off looking for something with very few calories and high fiber / protein to fill your stomach. It will trick your body into increasing it's metabolism instead of going into a catabolic state. While in that state your cortisol increases, your body will start storing food as fat, and it will be generally a lot harder on your body. Drew is right...you are hungry. Fill it with something good for you.

I'm having veggies throughout the day but before the night time munchies hit I'm going to eat a ton of veggies and a tbsp. of natty peanut butter. I'm going through 2 bags of stir fry veggies per day. I'm also going to have my mother hide the peanut butter after that so I don't have any more during the night and hide her raisins so I'm not eating those at ALL. A small scoop while I was on DNP is fine but off DNP is no good. I also might add a scoop of psyllium husk powder to some water too before the munchies hit. If that doesn't do it NOTHING will.

it doesnt matter how many veggies you eat, many of them have negative calories so dont trick yourself into thinking that those even count as a caloric value. And raisins? come on, how many calories do those have? Not enough for me even to count.
so you're gonna eat EVEN LESS now that you are off DNP? You weren't eating anything really while you were on!

you need to eat to spark your metabolism - your metabolism is not entirely based on how active you are. I can sit on my ass all day at work and in my free time, and still have a raging metabolism. Yes, part of it is genetic, but alot of it is my diet and how often I eat. Like water intake food is the same - the more you consume and the more often you consume it, the faster your metabolism climbs to adapt to it.

You're a guy who trains. I'm a woman who sits around all day. My metabolism is like a tiny snail. I don't lose anything if I eat like I did when I trained. My calories need to stay around 1200 for me to lose anything, I know my body. I eat frequently but it's all low cal stuff.
But thanks for your concern and insight, I appreciate it. :)

I smashed my finger yesterday. Was up till about 2am cause it was throbbing. I kept trying to heat up a pin and go throught the nail, but it was to painful to do myself and the wife couldnt do it either. (yes) the same bitch that popped a pimple on my scrodum- also has a weak stomach now that we are married.

Anyway, it was battle. I had the cravings from 8pm till 2am. i wanted to eat to help get my mind off my finger. But i didnt.

woke up this morning 4lbs lighter....

so it was worth it.
