My regular gym doesn't have any personal trainers that you can hire, but I went with my buddy to his gym before work today and his does have personal trainers. As I'm leaving I notice one of the trainers has a client, she has her client doing push ups while she's sitting on a chair. This actually angered me and made me want to become a persnal trainer again and do it on the side since I'm still part time at work. I hate when trainers don't motivate their clients or help push them, when I wiuld have my clients do something like this, I'd be down there doing them with them. That is one field that I feel has to be a hands on job. I don't see how you can just sit down while telling someone what to do, get down there and encourage them by doing it with them or at least helping them (this woman was really over weight and could have used the help). And that's not mention how overweight the trainer was, what the fuck happened to this world?

Yeah my gym is fucked. Everybody seems to be a trainer. One girl in the morning gets her client going and goes out front to smoke. Nothing against smokers but trainers should be held to a standard, at least while training. Its a law suit waiting to happen when anybody can "train"..

PT's are like cockroaches, yea step on one and another one scurries past you. The bar for a PT has been lowered so bad, most trip over it. Most have been tested on knowing the difference between a tricep and bicep

It is ridiculous. Some of the trainers I used to work with knew everything in the book, but didn't look like they'd ever been in a gym before. It was like they just picked a career out of a hat and went with it

i'm a trainer not a "personal" trainer...i get results and don't wanna hear your fucking problems and won't coddle you...nothing personal...
