On this lights out, would this help if you were only going to get 4-5 hours of sleep or would you still be drowsy from it? I only get a full 8 hours+ of sleep on the weekends and the rest of the time I'm doing good to get 4-5 hours and just wanted to make sure this wouldn't make me drowsy with only that amount of sleep

Ingredients:
GABA, Melatonin, 5HTP, Chamomile Powder Extract, Valarian Root Powder Extract 0.8%, Free-Form L-Tryptophan,Magnesium Stearate

Surprised to see GABA up there as the front runner. I'm under the impression that GABAergic agents impede REM—several studies support this. I know melatonin supports REM, however. Is the gaba used simply to induce a rappid onset of sleep while the melatonin takes care of REM?

Very interesting product. I want badly to try it out!

Yes...i can never sleep. I used to be able to sleep 4 hours a night and be completely functional but now my sleep quality sucks. So this is my approach to that. GABA helps to induce sleep and make you relaxed, calm etc...GABA does not impede REM sleep, studies may say it does but im not buying it. Look at how GHB works...puts you in REM immediately. Ive found its not about length of time but quality of sleep for me.

So big, sorry for the rambling but yes, you can be functional on this getting about 5-6 hours of sleep. I use it personally a couple times a week and will sleep from 1 to 6am, get up and be with it for the rest of the day. I use it to calm me and induce sleep...everything in it either calms you down or promotes sleep. Melatonin and trytophan are great for keeping you asleep as well.

Also something to note is, this product should not be used every day of every week of every month. 3-4 times per week is good or less. Just use as needed.

Tryptophan, 5HTP help me, but melatonin never has, and I have no idea why. I like to take 5HTP along with my ambien these days, and it seems to work far better than just my ambien alone.

Ambien quit working for me due to the cross tolerence w/ benzos. I've been using melatonin and sometimes klonopin ever since.

About to try this lights out though!

I can't seem to get my hands on ambiens, but when my gf got them, they worked quite well. I can't seem to get a doc to give me anything for sleep
