Ray Williams flew all the way from America to Australia to make this lift last weekend. (He didn't pick a local show or a gym comp to attempt this historic feat of strength.)
He walked the squat out (no monolift.)
He only used a powerlifting belt and Anderson Powerlifting.com SBD knee sleeves for support (no squat suit and no knee wraps.)
The safety spotters avoid contact with the lifter and with the weights during the lift (no sham "Team lift" via a hands on spot as seen in a number of amateur federations.)
He took the lift noticeably below parallel (not "At parallel" and not above parallel.)
On top of that, this was an IPF competition. The IPF is the official affiliate of The Olympic Games and The World Games and so he had to take and pass a WADA approved drug test at this contest.
