Your correct Doc. I believe I read in a few posts he said he heats to 212 degrees F. That would be enough to cause oxidation, however when I have oxidated tren it turns brownish yellow, darker that normal, never red. The acetate ester is made with silicon dioxide which can turn it red is all I can think of, honestly never ever seen Red Tren Acetate before..New to me.
And this is why it's good to have chemists around on a board where people prepare injectable products 
Hmm....I'm trying to remember what could trigger that....it's been a while since I looked at that reaction pathway.
I do seem to recall that pyridine was used as a solvent in the esterification....(again, from memory) and I Know, pyridine can get pretty red on storage - it's possible there were still some synthesis residues left behind...But I'm just guessing right now - don't have all my reference materials handy.
The Trens I've seen, both acetate and enanthate, at *darkest* were golden yellow - at that was in Grapeseed oil, which is very pale green at darkest. I've never actually tried to heat it up to the point it darkens....I would normally recommend pre-heating the minimum amount of oil and cosolvent to dissolve the tren (not too hot) and finishing dissolution with oil that I had *previously* heated to high temperature and cooled down - thermally sterilizing that portion of the oil. *THEN* to 0.2 micron filtration. (I'm a fuddy-duddy about sterilization - good-old-fashionned heating is *always my first step before going on to other steps...just in case a filter has a minor defect in it somewhere)
