Example: my traps. For years I trained traps HEAVY with reps no higher
then 10. Thought the heavy weight would make them get bigger. No luck.
Started doing a friends workout few years back and reps for traps were
20-25 per set. I stayed heavy as I could with the high reps and I'll be
damed, they grew. Mabey its the type of muscle that needed the high
reps?? I only keep the high reps for traps and sometimes calfs.
Anyone else have any experience like that. Different muscles needing
different stumulation???

Agreed. I used to train traps heavy and moderate volume. Although I had great gains from it, they weren't proportional to my shoulders, jus too big. Now I only do heavy deads and rack deads, and everything grows much more even. As far as reps go, my legs responded well to low reps for awhile. It wasn't until I threw in some high rep work along with it until they really started to take off. I guess you just have to mix it up sometimes... or just train DC style :D

it depends on what you trainning for
light reps for a pump makes you grow
heavy weights make you strong and thick
it really depends on what your trainning for
like the old saying goese do you wanna be 250 or do you wanna look 250:dj:

I don't know too many dudes that look 250 and only lift light weights for reps.

Bro., there is a guy at my gym, he lifts light with high reps. He is only
about 135 lbs. I'll be damed if he dont look at least 140.
