I've been on semaglutide at 1.25 mg for the past three weeks and the side effects are eating me alive. I'm dealing with a lot of heartburn and I'm dealing with issues like nausea and I'm burping a lot. Any advice on what you can recommend for me? Should I stop using it entirely and switch to something else or should I adjust the dosing?

Hi @amwnsjui

You should have gradually started with a low dosage and titrate up in order to minimize the sides.

Typically, 0.25 mg once a week for 4 weeks is ideal as it enables your body to adapt to the compound while also reducing the occurence of both bloating and nausea.

But after 4 weeks, you can then taper up to 0.5 mg/wk for weeks 5 to 8, then 1.0 mg/wk for weeks 9 to 12, and between 1.7 to 2.4 mg/wk for week 13 and upwards. However, it's best to run your semaglutide cycle between 16 and 24 weeks.

So, what you should do now is taper down your dosage, that should help to stop the sides.

Regards.

Here is how I would play this: Semaglutide 1-2 mg a week and then add some GW at 20 mg a day.

Make sure you're getting your GLP-1s and other peptides from my friends at Umbrella. They are legit. You don't want to buy fake product.

Bros, I would hit the semaglutide all day but if you want better results, switch to tirzepatide or retatrutide. Those are more options.

Semaglutide, you can keep the dosage low, half a milligram to one milligram, the first six weeks; then you can gradually increase it but I will not go more than two milligrams.

You likely won't need as much as you think. I've seen a lot of people even get good results on semaglutide at a quarter milligram a week. Start there for four weeks and see how you do.
