Had a great shoulder day today. One little concern though. During my Arnold presses my right should would pop ever so slightly on the way down. There was no pain or anything to be concerned with.

I am just curious if this is probably due to tendons/ligaments needing to catch up with muscles. What do you guys think? Cause for alarm?

If you have put on a lot of size recently it very well could be. When I put a lot of size on my shoulders at first they started popping a lot. If there isn't any pain or inflammation associated with the popping or weakness of the muscle then I would say it's a tendon. Ligaments will attach bone to bone so they shouldn't stretch much at all. The only time you will hear a pop from a ligament is when it tears or ruptures. However, tendons attach muscle to bone as well as other muscles, so with increased muscle growth you get stretching of the tendons. When they stretch out they can sometimes pop when slides over or past something that they aren't used to moving past, or because they are tighter than they were before.

I wouldn't worry bro, unless it starts hurting significantly.

Cool, I figured that's all it was. And yeah, no pain and no weakness either. The pop is hardly even audible, but I can feel it. I don't know what classifies as a lot of size, but I have put on what I think is a decent amount and strength has gone up considerably. Thanks for the quick reply bro.

^^ good post spidey you covered it bro.

Mine pop all the time ive had shoulder surgeries and a ton of injuries so im just used to it. If its not hurting i wouldnt worry that much.
