an off season trainer sounds like a great idea. So you are saying not to compete until 2014?
It is completely up to you Nuk. I would hire one trainer for the whole process offseason all the way up through your next contest. It will take time to bring up your legs, if you do that you will be very tough to beat. Also just need to be more polished, judges are looking for attention to detail and who looks like they could be the next pro. If you address some of the little issues as well as your legs I think you will have no problems at all. I think at least until next year, I would hit it hard offseason and then see where you are at next year. With a good trainer, they will take the guesswork out for you and let you know if you are ready or not. You have got to totally shut the door on all competitors, I have learned this myself. Last year had I completely shut the door I would be pro now, this is why for me this past year my weight stayed at 175lbs (usually 195) offseason to keep my skin tight as well as I will be competing at at least 3-5 lbs lighter. There is always someone coming in as hungry as you are, you have got to be that much hungrier to win if that makes sense. All that being said you looked really good this year and take a little time off from the gym get your head straight, get a plan and then go for it. I think it would be a shame for you to stop now. Bodybuilding is a mature sport, it takes so many years to get to where we need to be, don't be hard on yourself.
