Soreness

I have started lifting only a little while ago. I dont have access to a bench, but i have a dumbell with some weights on it. I started creatine too, and i lift: biceps, triceps, shoulders and such. Now here is my question, i figured you guys could tell me whats the deal, so i will lift and do multiple sets of each exercise, and my arms get totally dead when i do them to the point where i cannot do another single rep, and then afterward i take 1.2 grams of glutamine. The next day my arms feel completely fine, and I dont know if its the glutamine or the creatine doing it, or if im not working hard enough or what. Please help.

glutamine and creatine can aid in muslce recovery so that could be it but bumpin the boys and post up your rotuine...and join a gym and eat LOL

glutamine works wonders for me with respects to recovery time and muscle/tendon pains. but if you only have a dumbell or two it's going to be hard to build a physique with that. my suggestion is join a gym and ask one of the older and bigger guys who works there to show you some stuff...ie. correct form, order of exercises ect...

well heres my work out schedule, dont laugh, i know its not that much weight but it works

Stretch
Biceps 30 lbs: Right then Left
Pushups Full
Shoulders 20lbs: Right then Left
Biceps 20lbs: Right then Left
Pushups Half
Shoulders 20 lbs: Right then Left
Sit-ups with 20 lbs.
Biceps 20 lbs: Right then Left
Rest 30 seconds
Sit-ups Regular
Pushups Half
Shoulders 20 lbs: Right then Left

now mind you, this is with one dumbell, so i have to switch, and with all exercises i work until my arms are really fatigued, then i do 2 more.

so i dont know why im not sore, is that a good workout for the upper body you think???

you arent sore because that is not enough weight to cause the same kind of tension on your muscles that u could in a gym.

my arms rarely get sore, it takes a lot for most people to make arms sore.

And you want to know if that is a good upper body work out...well if its all u got then do your best, but you would definitely benefit by going to a gym.

Its a hell of a lot better than doing nothing, good job.
