Squat Record Attempt

Ok so I tried a new PR(personal record) the other night, kept my bodyweight low, 5'7" 200lbs and 4% bodyfat or so...

I went for 700lbs on a box squat, I missed it. Just prior to that I actually hit 675x4 and burned myself out...

Now a boxsquat is a parallel only squat and it is designed to adjust the CNS and muscles to heavier weight, so that one can do full range of motion squats with heavier weight, they are still a solid 90 degrees. These are more common in strongman and Powerlifting then in bodybuilding.

Anyways, on my other Strongman site, in honor of one of the Worlds Strongest Man competitors Jesse Marunde who passed away during training a few years ago.. I am helping run a fundraiser where I will be attempting 500lbsx20 box squat next week...Please check out the link and encourage me to hit this goal, again I intend to attempt this at a bodyweight of only 200lbs so this is not an easy task!!!

Thanks MC for your support as always, this yet another reason why Im glad to call you guys family...

On many other BB boards, people are questioning the depth, it's not low enough, you might bounce, etc, etc...

At this point I dont give a shit what people say, Im giving it all I can for Jesse Marunde, people can think and say what they will but the reality is that 90% of people still couldn't do the partial lift....

I am lifting tommorrow, should post up Thursday or so.And its going on Derek Poundstones youtube, so while you are there please check out some other Strongman Videos!!!
