Starting HIIT

I never did HIIT on my own due to me being paranoid about muscle loss. Well now I think it's all in my head and I've been doing low intensity cardio for about 45 mins post workout the last 2 months and the results have been coming but a little slower and moderate than I would like and if I forget my protein shake or bcaa's I may go 4 to 5 hours without a meal from the meal I have 1.5 hours before I workout. I'll be switching to AM HIIT running hills over the holidays and windsprints thereafter. Just trying to rev up the metabolism even more...my question is now that I'm on AAS do I still have to consume as much bcaa's and protein before and after the cardio in the morning or can i structure my diet to overall consume more protein? Will HIIT affect some muscle gain? This is not an all out cut just trying something new with HIIT cardio....thnx

i personally hate HIIT. it does cause considerable muscle loss for myself.

in terms of doing it though, its definately better to do so while cycling. Just consume more protein overall. I wouldn't worry too much about the BCAA's, since you are already taking them. But do make sure you are taking yohimbine and CLA as I have found them both to contribute significantly to fat loss.

rbethel, I had the same problem with low intensity. It can work for me if i want to just maintain, but if i want to loose, i need hitt. Just dont do it more than 3 or 4 times a week bro.

well, i was doing low intensity for a solid month and got nothing.... switched it up to hitt and i think almost instantly starting seeing results. But its not a fare assessment since i went from one to the other.

but id say in 2 weeks.

just make sure to keep an eye on your heart rate. Dont let it get to high and have a stroke or something. Remember your bp will be elevated do to gear.

bro im telling you that you don't need to be doing HIIT to drop fat. If you have your diet spot on and are cycling the correct compounds, you will lose significant fat.

id recommend hit, but like norm said, in addition to 'normal' cardio...not an all out replacement.

Well shap i've been doing low intensity for the last 2 months or so diet has been pretty strict , i'm consuming about 3500 cals with near 400 grams of protein about 100g of carbs sometimes 150 and increased fats along with the anti e but im curious to see how hiit would work m/w/f for 20 mins in the mornings on empty stomach and then some low intensity after some workouts and see how it works.....im a month in on tren n test but im not relying on the gear too much for cutting purposes...

nah bro im far from it lol im more meso endo....even when I did sports I wud do early morning lifting and running then 3 hours of swimming etc i still held onto a bit of pudge lol that along with the fact that thyroid issues run in the family...don want to 'self' diagnose myself n use t3 until im REALLY on a cut so for right now i want to start up sme HIIT on an empty stomach with some BCAA's before and after and really see what kind of results I get.....

Ive also switched to HIIT 3 times a week. and ive also already noticed significant changes over low intensity. I dont care what you say low intensity just obviously doesnt work that well for us guys that hold fat easy. I dieted hard for 2 months and burnt over 600 cals very low intensity 5 days a week heart never got above 128 and probably lost 2% bodyfat in 2 freakin months. We shall see what goes on with this but i can already see changes after the first week. Oh and for those 2 months my diet was spot on 100% except for 1 cheatmeal.

well bros I've been doing HIIT in the morning and then a bit of low intensity afterwards and I've lost 4 lbs...Now let me first say that I've just recently started taking MC's Aqua-Dex and man this is good stuff...So I'm losing water weight taking 0.25mg ED.....I can see more definition already in my extremities, a bit of separation between my quads, shoulders etc...chest is tighter and I can actually see my serratus and obliques a little more after just one week....I've been alternating treadmill with stairmaster HIIT and MAN it is intense, my legs are burning like hell when i do it on the stairmaster and lucky for me when i adjust the 'amount of steps' its only takes a bout a sec or two for it to adjust.....hopefully i can have my bodyfat down a whole lot more while gaining some weight.....I've gained about 4 to 5 lbs after losing water and starting HIIT cardio so it looks like my goal of 10 lbs lbm with a 2-3%bf will be reached on this cycle....if i reach my goals before the end then i'll switch some things up....

sounds great bro keep it up. Are you doing HIIT everyday or every other or what? Im doing hiit 3 times a week and 30 to 40 of low intensity on the other days.

every other day for right now just to see how it works and so far it has been....i think every day may be a bit excessive since im still doing low intensity on other days as well......

Yeah thats what i figured its already working for me as well. Nothing significant but definitely better then spending an hour on the treadmill for minimal loss's.
