National Strongman Competitor
I know alot of you guys aren't local, but maybe to some of the guests and members who are in Connecticut...

This Saturday April 6th @ 12pm, we will be hosting a Strongman Charity Event, called Stay Strong 2013.. It is to benefit Cancer Patients locally.

Poundstone Power Performance Gym
1818 Baldwin Street
Waterbury CT 06706
203-721-7066

So far we have 39 registered competitors, which is awesome.

Events will be:
Log clean and Press
Axle Deadlift
Frame Carry/Farmer's Carry
Arm over Arm Tire pull
Atlas Stones

Although there are no spots for competitors, there is plenty of room for Spectators. It is $5 dollars open admission, with 100% of proceeds going to the Charity.

I will be working side by side with Worlds Strongest Man Competitor Derek Poundstone as a judge at the event.

Please come out to support a good cause, an awesome day of fun and lifting, meet and greet with many Pro Athletes. Be sure to come say hello in person if you make it out!

Also in addition to a ton of other prizes for Competitors, Mike Ross at Prescription Nutrition has been kind enough to donate Prize Packs to all 1st Place Competitors...so this is certainly an initiative to do well that day.

See you guys there!

Good luck with the meet today buddy, make sure you get some vids or pics if you can and share with us later. I think its cool as hell that you will be working with Poundstone too.

Man I wish I lived out your way Wesley.. I would definitely go..

Thanks so much, wish more guys from MC were out this way...would have been awesome to have you!! McGaret actually made it to a competition I was competing in out in California a few years back, it was awesome to have the support of MC :)

Thanks Alpha!! Comp. went pretty well, it was a very long day. Derek and I judged and set up equipment and reset equipment. Think 40 competitors x 5 events each. Both him and I were unable to move on Sunday. I know I feel like I got hit by a truck, I also in fact strained my Bicep badly after lifting a super light stone. The combo of overusing my muscles and dehydration and I may have a partial tear.

It was great working side by side with Derek. Him and I have been good friends and training partners for years, so to me he is just Derek. It's funny when I see people crowding him for autographs and pictures, because I remember before it came to that. He has always been impressive though.

Here are a few pics, I have a ton more but these are 2 I can share now.

Here's a pic of me@ 5'7" 207lbs, Luke the HW winner is 6'3" and 290lbs and Derek at 5'11 and 350ish lbs.
