Do some research, and speak with a urologist. You were seeing an endocrinologist, weren't you? Typical doses for HRT range from 100 mg/week to 300 mg /week (the latter of which is what I'm on) or 200 mg to 300 mg EOW. Blood tests confirmed I'm right where I'm supposed to be with that dosage. If she is going to be the doctor making decisions about this, there is no reason you can't ask her to make sure she studies up on this so she doesn't give you too conservative of a prescription. Make sure you do blood tests to confirm your level. This means a blood test at BOTH the beginning and end of your two-week run after having the injection. If she doesn't do both tests like this, she cannot possibly give you a proper decision as to what the dosage should be. Test cypionate/ethanate have half-lives of 7-10 days, usually more towards the seven days. Only getting 50 mg will barely get your levels up, and then it will drop down where it was or lower by the end of two weeks.
