The 80's Meathead Uniform

I've been looking at lifters and bodybuilders from the 1980's era ( Barbarian bro's, Iron Bull Peluchia, old WSM competitions) and I gotta ask any of you old guys out there. WHAT WAS WITH THE CLOTHES????!!!!
I mean it was almost a Meat head uniform. The loud baggy MC Hammer pants, the high top shoes, for the lot of them, a FANNY PACK, and most importantly the crazy ass sweatshirt that was cut at the belly, the collar, and cut at a slant on the arms?

I can kinda see the parachute pants if you had some sick ass wheels and can't wear normal pants and hell, even the fannie pack for easy access to gear or protein bars but......

Wht was with the sweatshirt? Why not just buy a bigger sweatshirt or wear a T-shit?

Very nice, if I had a pair of those babies I would be flaunting that shit with exercises like standing bicep curls with one foot propped on a bench and making sure to grunt loud so the honnies on the elipticals make sure to get a glimps.

Pumped like my Nikes used to be.

There was an episode of Jackass awhile back where one of them dudes wore a strap on dildo under a pair of grey wal-mart sweat pants so it looked like he had wood and goes into the gym bench pressing and doing all kinds of stupid shit. If you havent seen it check it out, it was hilarious!
