I hurt my knee in a work related accident. MRI's have come back and Dr. looked over them. I have a torn medial retinaculum and a mostly if not completely torn vastus medialis at the insertion. The Dr. was straight and said that this is worse than an MCL and ACL tear and recovery is much longer and more painful. He said it usually takes 1 year to get back to your maximum improvement level. I had such good legs..... I'm going to do very low doses and train upper body to keep myself sane. I'm really depressed and feel sick to my stomach. He said it would be months before I can even put weight on it. I stopped listening after that. They may scope first and then go in, but he said surgery is 100% sure as is the tear of the retinaculum. I can't even think straight.
