that tis the question...just wondering what everyone's thoughts on seperating your quads and hammie work out....I do, I dont know why I do it just makes sense.....

I have never trained them seperately while bulking, hence the question, but I will let you know how seperating them while bulking works...I do train them seperate while cutting, but that is just b/c I am so worn out it doesnt kill me!

ive been thinking about seperating my quads and hams too and was wondering if i could see how one of you guys would do the muscle split for the week while doing this?

My only concern is that squats seem to hit both my quads and hammies really well. I'm assuming I'd put them on quad day...

midwtchamp, you should deadlift on back day. And Al, yes, squatting makes sense on quad day. Front squats are all quads, for sure. With conventional squats, the more you squat like a powerlifter (super wide stance=all hips/glutes/hams), the less the quads will be involved. Whenever I train with regular squats on quad day, I be sure to include at least one balls-out set of leg presses to finish off my quads.

I do...I put back and hammies together hahahehhehe mr.know it all goldean ear jk focking w/you bro...I always do squats at the end of my workout so I can use less weight and get the same workout. I am not a big advocate of "how much can you lift" it is more about form and diet than how much...ok enufff mid shut the hell up!

I train hammys 1st on leg day with a 2 to 3 ratio, So I do 2 sets of hamstring work(@ 8-10 sets) and then 12-15 sets of quads

Ok, not sure I'm convinced, but I may have to give it a try :D

I've never split them into two workouts. I have my "leg day" which kicks my arse. I agree that deadlifts should be on back day.
