My training seems to slack off around the holidays because all I want to do is sit around, eat and relax. I have to force myself to go to a gym and when I do it is almost like I can't mentally get into it because I'm just feeling lazy. It could be that my job is busiest this time of year, but I don't wanna make excuses like that. Does anyone else find it hard to get into it between Thanksgiving and Christmas?

Nah its my favorite times to train for a couple reasons, First being im so full of energy from all the holiday carbs that my workouts are insane, and secondly is the gyms are empty so I can use all those carbs and energy and lift heavy without feeling like the gym thinks im trying to show off. I know thats pretty lame but i rarely train super heavy anymore and its in part due to not wanting to draw attention to myself anymore then I have to lol.

So I love training during the Holidays

I love the carbs but they make me lazy and feel like a fatass. That alone should be a reason to get my ass in the gym, but it is almost like I find reasons not to go instead of the other way around. I think it has to do with my job because I never used to be like that. I work everyday except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's so on the actual holiday when the gym is open until noon, I just feel like resting

I used to always look forward to the holidays, but anymore come Christmas Eve the last thing I want to see is a human being. I know that's awful, but I just want to bury my head in the sand at that point

But what if it was me? You'd wanna see me though right? I am your favorite human being after all lol. Your lonlyness saddens me bro! Lol

I wouldn't go in the gym on the day of the holiday, but I'd be there on the day before or after. Like Presser said, no one else in the gym.. it's all mine, lol.

You should spend Christmas with your friends if not family. If I was in your city, I'd invite ya over. MC family is always welcome at my place.

Fuck I haven't been to the gym in a month, I gotta get my ass back into gear and on gear haha

Whatever schedule I'm on,, thats when I go to the gym. No matter if its Thanksgiving, Christmas or my little lady's birthday. If I'm doin a 2 day on, 1 day off split like I am now,...........Then, that is what decides when I go to the gym. PERIOD!!

Not being a smart ass, but if I relied on when I "Felt" like going to the gym....I might make it in 2 days a week fellas.....

Get it and Hit it!!!!!!!!!!

I've been training 3-4 days a week which is killing me at work right now. I work anywhere from 10-12 hours a day and only have been getting around 5 hours of sleep or less and by the weekend I'm just drained. My job is very physcially demanding so it alone can drain you, add in the gym and lack of getting a full night's sleep and I'm doing good to get to the gym the next day.

I just keep telling myself that there's many people out there doing it so there's no reason I can't. We'll see what happens after next week though

I here ya big guy. I've been there in the past for sure. Fortunately, I don't have the physically demanding job at the moment, but I do usually work 10-12 hours a day. And, it sucks for sure.....

Yeah I like that split sort of, my favorite and most growth productive split has been 2 on, 1 off, 2 on, 2 off, meaning wednesdays and saturday and sunday off, grew like a fucking weed with this split, got just the right amount of rest as well!

Only time it changed is when i started splitting my leg day into 2 separate workouts with hams and calfs one day and quads and calfs another day, legs really started to grow when i split them up and concentrated on one side at a time!

I need to incorporate this into my leg workout for sure. I'm ashamed of my legs!! But, as soon as I can get the IGF I am going IM into my legs almost religiously!!! Gotta get these wheels up to par or at least close damn it
