My husband has been on Trend and Test and also some type of anti estrogen. Forgive me because I do not know much about the amounts or exact names. He has been on for almost a year straight without stopping much. I demanded that he take a break and give his body some down time. He reluctatly stopped the trend about a week ago and is weaning himself of the test. I had no idea of the ramifications of this. He is having serious withdrawls. Night sweating, extreme lethargy, 30 pounds weight loss, and what I can only describe as mental breakdown. Extreme depression. Suicidal thoughts. Hallucinations. Dizzyness. Lack of coordination. It took me two days to convince him that is was withdrawl becuase he was extremely paronioid and thought that I was plotting against him and his life was falling apart. I will make a appointment for him to see his primary care doc tommorow and see what she can do to alleviate some of his symtoms. Is this wise or should we attempt to get the products needed for post cycle and do it ourselves? Since he is still taking test in small amounts to wean himself should he wait until he is done to go to the Doc? How long will this withdrawl last? He was able to get to work tonight but the last 4 days have been a living nightmare. Please any help or advise would be grately appreciated.

Definitely take him to a doctor. If he's as bad off as you say, he's going to need medical attention and possibly by a psychiatrist for the suicidal thoughts. I've never known someone to have a withdrawal problem, but that's not to say it doesn't happen....

Thanks for your advice I will take him tommorrow. I think that he is having such a bad withdrawl becuase he pretty much stayed on for a year straight. I want to kick his ass but I feel so sorry for him right now. He knows how to cycle but was abusing, its just sad.

Uhhhh I suggest seeing a specialist. Any old GP or even a sports medical probably won't do.

You might start--and end--here: Home Page

By the way, it's called "trenbolone" or "tren," for short.

And while depresion, and weight loss are common when coming off extended, even year long cycles, I have NEVER heard of the extreme psychiatric and physical symtoms you describe. Something's not adding up. Paranoia, night sweats, etc. are characteristic of narcotic withdraw, not anobolic/androgenic steroids.

Something's in the woodpile...

Agreed

You have some good advice.. there is something a lot more going on here than just coming off the tren....

agree with the above..I hate to say it, but I think its more in his head or he is trying to make you think he needs it..to make you say go back on...I do believe that people can get addittive ot AAS....(steroids), and maybe he is...but I still believe its somewhat of an act..IMO...But, maybe he needs to see a good HRT doctor...

Thanks guys for your advice. He has a appointment thurs with doc. She knows about his usage. Cannot hide it from a doc that has known you for years and all of the sudden you are huge. She always offers to do blood work and perscribe t-replacement thereapy. Seems a lot better today. Still very easliy upset and depressed. Equalibrium off. Dropping things more than usual and bumping into things. Worked out hard this morning. I went to gym with him and kept an eye on him and he seemed fine in the gym. I do not want him off for good but I want him to monitor his blood work while on and make sure no health problems are arising and I want him to cycle and post cycle every time. Pain in the ass and expensive but worth it I think. I agree that a lot of it is in his head and I keep reminding him of this.

If you wish to, please keep us posted.
I think you are doing the right thing, and I believe in his case its best to monitor his blood work and him.
Thank you for taking the proactive approach.

The more I think about it, I strongly feel like he's coming off of something else as well. It's good to hear that you're on the right page with him and are very much by his side. I know that means a lot to him, just keep your eyes open for anything else that may be going on.

never ever hallucinated off of gear, ever, AND thats not even a side effect of ANY gear...... so, sounds like he may be hiding something from you, OR hes not being honest in desrcibing his withdrawl symptoms
