On Tuesday morning, UFC president Dana White took to social media to announce that UFC 264 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena “at full capacity,” and tickets will go on sale this week.

White also stated that the event, which takes place July 10, will officially be headlined by the highly anticipated trilogy fight between Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor. While the two fighters have been at odds recently over a promised donation from McGregor to Poirier’s charity The Good Fight Foundation—and with McGregor stating earlier this week that the fight was off—it seems as if the lightweight bout, at least for now, will go on as scheduled.
The summer blockbuster event is also scheduled to include a pivotal 170-pound matchup between former title challengers Gilber Burns and Stephen Thompson, a flyweight bout between Jennifer Maia and Jessica Eye, and a heavyweight tilt between Tai Tuivasa and Greg Hardy.
This is the third PPV event of the year that has been announced with a full house of fans. UFC 261, which takes place April 24, will take place at the sold out VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla. White stated recently that the card sold out in minutes and already broke the gate record for the building ahead of the championship triple header headlined by the rematch between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal for the welterweight title.
UFC 262 takes place May 15 at the Toyota Center in Houston, which also sold out in minutes according to White. That event will be headlined by Charles Oliveira vs. Michael Chandler to crown a new 155-pound champ, while Leon Edwards and Nate Diaz will compete in the promotion’s first five-round non-title main event.
UFC 264 will mark the first promotional event to take place at T-Mobile Arena since UFC 248 in March 2020 which saw Israel Adesanya defend his middleweight championship successfully against Yoel Romero, while Zhang Weili retained her strawweight title in an all-time classic with Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
