I have a samsung 1080p console and it has one of the best pictures Ive ever seen. Bro you need to go to that resolution. My kids have a 19 inch magnavox and it is okay. Samsungs have good refresh rates usually. Every person who sees my picture comments on how good it is. Just a thought.

Ok first off you have to buy a name brand (Sony,Samsung,Tosibia, ect) Vizio,Sanyo,Oliva, ect and ect are crap (trust me I know, I sell electrinics) ...

the 1080 p and 720 p means NOTHING !!! Why, because everything and I mean everything is broadcast in 720 p or less (most of it is in 480 i) So you will never need a 1080 p, unless you have a blue-ray DVD player...Even they on a 50 inch TV or less you will never notice the difference...

Presser return the TV and buy a Cheap Sony (an S series, V series or better) an S seires is really a Wal mart TV but its better than a damn Vizio TV...LOL !!! Honestly you need to just spend the extra money (cause you get what you pay for, its the truth with TV's) and get a name brand LCD or Plasma (Panasonic or Samsung's are best for plasma) And yes, Plasma TV's are overall better TV's than LCD's...

i just bought a 32 toshiba lcd, and the picture was "okay", even with hdmi, but i found out i didnt have both tv and dvd on the highest settings. As soon as i adjusted the dvd, the picture got better. Now with an x-box 360, 1080 would make a diff, because the 360 can support it, correct??

Is the tosibia a 720 p or 1080 p ...Most 32 inch TV's are in 720 p format, becasue 1080 p on a 32 inch TV would be over a grand...So to keep price down most 32 inch TV's are 720 p...As for your X - box yeah the Tosibia would be fine, and everything in the X-box (even the 360) is no higher than 720 p format...So to answer you no, 1080 p would make no difference at all...The only game system that supports 1080 p is the Sony Playstation 3...Because it is a blue ray system to...Now not all games for the Playstation 3 is in 1080 p format...Its just some of them (more and more newer ones are in the 1080 p format)...most of the older games are in 480 i format...Newer games are in 720 p format or 1080 i format...(1080 i format and 720 p format are about the same its only about 100,000 pixils difference...Which honestly doesnt make that much of a difference, on a TV that is under 52 inches)

Samsung by far are the BEST LCD's you could buy...the 650 series is the best with the 120 hrz (refresh rate) ...Even the Samsungs 450 series are a good TV...Better than most cheap 1080 p Tv's that you could buy at Target or Wal mart...

yeah man i really wanted the 650 but it was a little high for me. I got the 52'' a550 and its perfect for me. Beautiful picture for the money i love it.

ok, cool.... now what about refresh rate though?? Does that make a big difference in gaming and dvd's?

actully it does make a difference a 120hrz LCD is much faster than the 60hrz LCD's (what your tosibia is) Now will that make your X-box360 crappy for gaming..No it wont, it will be waaaay better than a regular old tube TV...I think you will really enjoy the TV (tosibia's are good TV's and are very highly rated TV's) X-box will be fine on that TV...Now if your were to get a PS3 than I would say the 120hrz would be a better fit for you...but thats a different story

yeah the 650's series of Samsungs are the SHIT !!! But those 550's are reallly good LCD's and have a very high rating...There is nothing wrong with those LCD's...Samsungs have a new 750 and 850 series of LCD's and im curious to see how those look

Damn....all of this is making me want to go buy a new TV. That income tax $$$ can't come in fast enough now. Good job with the info Genk

Several of directvs channels are now broadcast in 1080i now and they look really good. Hey h8tr, the difference on xbox is huge on 480 and 1080 res. I have a ps3 and xbox and I have to say with composites the xbox is much sharper too. I personally love my samsung and though its not an lcd I would have to say it really is a great tv. It is also great because I got it on clearance for half price at sears. LOL

i have a ps3 and 360 as well they both look about the same to me. This is played on a 1080p 52'' lcd. Although i bought the ps3 mainly for bluray i do most of my gaming on the 360, Blu ray FTW.

we have vizio in our gym, we brought 3 of them, nice picture.

i see them on sale at walmart and target allthe time. the 37 in ones are really cheap

Checking the best LCD TV out on the market is a good way to get he best value for the money. I think I got one when I bought a 32" Samsung Series 4 television. Very good nice picture and the price is affordable.
