What do you think of Ray Lewis??

Well, with him announcing he's retiring after this season, where would you guys rank him as far as one of the top linebackers? I hate admitting that he's such a good athlete because I love the Steelers, but you can't ignore how much of an impact he's had for their defense. So I think on the field he's one of the best (not the best though) to play the game. Playing for 17 years in a position like that is impressive and especially if you consider his style of play.

Now on a personal level, I can't stand the guy and have never been able to root for him. Even if he was on the Steelers I couldn't have liked him. I think he got away with that whole nightclub shit a few years back and since then I've never liked him. I just think he let someone take the fall and that's just bullshit
 
Top 10 for sure but maybe top five in my book but there's a lot of old schoolers we forget so easily sometimes
 
I can name a few that I thought was better than him. Lawrence Taylor and Dick Butkus , Mike Singletary , and I'll even say Junior Salue
 
Mean Joe Green is above him as well. I think the thing that really stands out for Ray is that he played 17 seasons. That's impressive at his position because you're getting hit almost every play
